The Importance of Rectifying Our Hearts and Minds

(Minghui.org) Since Minghui published the sharing article, “Thoughts on the End Time for Fa Rectification and Prophecies,” practitioners in our area have been discussing it the past few days. Some approved of it and some disapproved of it. Some even had arguments between each other.

How come a sharing article is causing such a big reaction among practitioners?

The first reason could be that some practitioners might take the predictions indicated in the article very seriously, as that prediction (about the U.S. election result) has been proven accurate. “Seeing is believing,” they thus believe the rest of the predictions would happen too. The other reason could be that the predictions of the future are in great contrast to our current understanding or perceptions, and some parts of them do not conform to Master's relevant teachings.

After reading this article, I felt that it was a sharp contrast to my own understanding of the process of Fa-rectification. And frankly, I felt the impact to my heart and mind.

When I calmed down and looked inside, I realized that the publication of this article was definitely not accidental. Having suffered persecution for a long time in mainland China, although we know that our responsibility and mission have not yet been fulfilled, we more or less have had the wish of not continuing suffering and hoping for an early end of the persecution.

Especially in the recent period, there has been a lot of information and prophecies about the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and the plague reported in the media. I had become obsessed with the end of the Fa-rectification; and I had also become obsessed with the celestial vision, and I had taken it as a standard to measure right and wrong, intentionally or unintentionally.

After finding these attachments, I suddenly realized that the publication of the article was not for us to see the vision of the future, but to expose our attachments and rectify the parts that do not conform to the Fa. Any attachments will hinder us from doing the three things well.

As for when Trump will be elected as president, when the evil party will be eliminated, whether Taiwan will be “unified by force,” etc., these are not things we should be concerned about. No one can know the future of Fa-rectification except for our Master.

What the young fellow practitioner saw and documented in the article is only a little bit in his realm. If we as the entire cultivators’ community have attachments, or if the practitioner with the vision and those around him have attachments, their loopholes would give the old forces a chance to create false visions for the practitioner, which would become a test for Dafa disciples. If this is the case, Master is again taking the opportunity for our attachments to be exposed and eliminated.

Therefore, I suggest that we Dafa disciples seriously look within and examine what notions and attachments we still have and rectify them in a timely manner. Don't be obsessed with any prophecies or understandings of so-called high-level people.

We should believe that Master's arrangement is the best. Even if it ends tomorrow, we shouldn’t be attached to the end-time under any circumstances. Only then can we really achieve Master's requirements:

“Get rid of any attachment you have, and don't think about anything. Just do everything a Dafa disciple should do, and everything will be covered.” (“Teaching the Fa at the Washington, D.C. International Fa Conference,” Guiding the Voyage)
