(Minghui.org) I am 84-years-old and I started to practice Falun Dafa in Melbourne, Australia, in June 2012. With my old age, I am very fortunate to have obtained the universe’s Falun Dafa and had the opportunity to listen to Master Li's (Dafa's founder) lectures in the United States four times. With Master Li’s compassionate salvation, my body has been purified and I have been able to understand many principles of the Fa.
I used to have high blood pressure, high cholesterol and would often have headaches, chest tightness and heart palpitations. As a result, I would take medications every day. My body has gone through drastic changes during the years I’ve been cultivating. Not only did I stop taking medications and am able to hear and see well, but I am also more clear-minded and walk very swiftly. Both my son and my daughter-in-law said, “Our mother is still very young! Her memory is better than young people.”
With studying the Fa and looking inward, I’ve gradually let go of my attachments. I was quite attached to my children in the past and always wanted them to be successful in life. Additionally, I was also attached to wanting to live a better and more comfortable life. I also had a very strong Chinese Communist Party (CCP) mentality in which I would always want to be in control everywhere I went. After cultivating, I learned to respect others and be humble. When hearing unpleasant words, I would no longer argue; now, I look inward and maintain a calm mind. I am much more approachable now.
I would often tell my grandchildren that the reason I’ve improved physically and mentally is that I cultivate Falun Dafa; as a result they believe that Falun Dafa is good.
I would like to share some cultivation miracles that I’ve experienced; I am deeply grateful to Master for protecting me.
Master Encouraging Me to Have Steady Righteous Thoughts
I was attending group Fa-study one night in mid-October 2015 and while reading Zhuan Falun, I started seeing little red dots lining up very neatly at the bottom right corner of each character. They filled the whole page and appeared again on the next page. The same thing happened again two weeks later on November 2, 2015.
I was enlightened to the fact that Master was trying to encourage me to study the Fa and to be diligent in cultivation. From then on, I was even more determined to cultivate and firmly believed in Dafa.
Successfully Attending a Fa Conference Abroad
Seven other Falun Dafa practitioners and I bought plane tickets to attend the Washington D.C. Fa Conference in June 2018. Our plane tickets required us to transit in Canada, but only days before leaving Australia, I realized that my Chinese passport needed a visa to transit. I wanted to cancel my tickets upon learning this, however, it turned out that my tickets were non-refundable. I had no choice but to go ahead and apply for a Canadian visa through a travel agency. Time was very tight and I started to get very anxious because I hadn’t heard back from the travel agency.
When I shared my concerns with another practitioner, she reminded me that I should ask Master for help.
I knelt down in front of Master’s portrait and said: “Master, I want to attend the Fa conference in Washington, D.C., but I still don’t have my visa yet. Please help me, Master.”
There was still no news about my visa and our plane was departing in two days. I was about to purchase another plane ticket when the travel agency called and told me that my visa was approved. I was so grateful to Master that my eyes were almost immediately filled with tears. I knelt in front of Master's picture and said: “Thank you, great compassionate Master!”
I was very grateful to be able to attend the conference and listen to Master's lecture.
Safe After Falling On the Bus
I boarded a bus to go home one weekend from my son’s place in the summer of 2019. Since it was my first time on the bus, I was not sure when I should get off. When I saw everyone getting off the bus, I started walking to get off the bus as well. Just then, the bus started to drive off and I lost my balance and fell down on the bus. Seeing that I fell, the driver stopped the bus. I got up immediately and said: “I am fine. Thank you, Master!” The bus driver started driving again when he saw that I was fine.
I believe that I was protected. With my old age, it was impossible for me not to get hurt, however, I was protected. I was in tears once again and was very grateful.
Dafa is truly miraculous! There are too many miracles to share here. Master has always been protecting me and I’ve truly felt the extraordinary power of Dafa.
