(Minghui.org) Twenty years ago, in many people's eyes, my life was perfect. I was happily married and had a healthy baby. I started working as a physician in a village hospital and was later transferred to a military hospital in a city.

However, I often thought, “What is life’s purpose anyway? In this demoralizing society, what principles shall I live by?” I was not happy with the life I was living.

In 1997, I learned about Falun Dafa. I was 28 and my child had just turned two. The excitement and joy I felt were overwhelming. My life’s goal was right in front of me—to live by the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.

I joined others for morning exercises, group Fa-study, and weekend activities that spread the goodness of Falun Dafa. My life was finally meaningful and fulfilled. Those happy days lasted a little over a year.

In July 1999, led by former leader Jiang Zemin, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started the brutal persecution of Falun Dafa. Twice, my employer had me sent to prison and a brainwashing center for holding on to my spiritual beliefs.

My husband returned from military service in 2012. He feared for my safety so I left my position at the military hospital.

I worked at another hospital from 2014 to 2015. In 2015, I was detained for filing an official complaint against Jiang and terminated from my job.

During all those years, no matter what happened to me, my faith in Dafa and Master Li (the founder) never wavered, and Master protected me every moment along the way.

I have been at my current job since 2017. It is a long-term care facility for the elderly that offers medical treatment as well.

Intravenous treatments generate more income than oral medications. Director Lee often reminded us, “As long as the family agrees to it, give intravenous fluids.” I did not follow his order. I prescribed oral medication for my patients before resorting to intravenous treatment. After some time, I earned the trust of my patients and their families.

I am attentive to my patients and do my best to care for them. Several times, I corrected other physicians’ diagnostic mistakes. Because of my work ethic and friendliness, nurse's aides enjoyed interacting with me. Congenial relationships helped when clarifying the truth to them later.

I began talking about Falun Dafa to other medical staff and nurse’s aids last year.

Whenever I was on night duty, after the lights were off, I would go to patients’ rooms and chat with the aides. The outcomes were positive. I gave them calendars published by the Minghui website. Most recipients appreciated the calendars and displayed them in their rooms.

I had my worries too: “What if I get in trouble when those who have prejudices against Falun Dafa find out I am an adherent?” I quickly eliminated this fear. In reality, I felt pleased to see people listen to the facts about Falun Dafa and make the right choices. Soon I saw the effect of Dafa on the aids. Those with Minghui calendars in their rooms became more beautiful in appearance and more friendly.

After the Coronavirus pandemic started in Wuhan, I realized the increasing pace of Fa-rectification and the urgency of saving more sentient beings. Every time I was on night duty, I talked about Falun Dafa to colleagues and patients. However, at the beginning of every night shift, I felt heavy pressure. I adjusted my thinking and sent righteous thoughts to eliminate any interference.

I also spent more time studying the Fa and sending focused righteous thoughts. Every person I talked with eventually quit the CCP organizations they previously joined. Some of them thanked me sincerely. Even though some people did not have an in-depth understanding of why it was important to do so, they still choose to quit the CCP organizations because they trusted me and knew that I genuinely cared about them.

There was an elderly man who did not have many visitors. I stopped by his room and chatted with him when I did my rounds. When his condition deteriorated, I thought, “I must talk to him about the importance of quitting the CCP.”

One morning, I went to see him. I held his hand and asked, “How are you?” The old man choked up: “You are so kind to me. Other doctors just look at me from the doorway when they do rounds. They don’t even bother to come in.”

I said, “I am a Falun Dafa practitioner. I practice Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, and I am nice to everybody.”

He told me he has a relative who also practices Falun Dafa. The relative told him to quit the CCP organizations but he did not follow his advice.

“Your relative was doing something good for you. Let’s quit the CCP for a better future.”

The old man nodded and thanked me. I was happy for him because he made the right choice.

Director Wang is in charge of internal medicine. I wanted to tell her the facts but didn't find an opportunity. One day, a colleague who had already quit the CCP gave me a friendly warning, saying that I should not talk about Falun Dafa to the nurse’s aides anymore; the nurses and Director Lee know what you are doing.

Director Lee is a timid person and does not like to take responsibility; so he asked Director Wang to talk to me.

Sure enough, I received a phone call from Director Wang. I thought I would likely be fired again. Nevertheless, I intended to use our meeting to tell her about Falun Dafa even though I was a little nervous.

Surprisingly, Director Wang did not reproach me. She took my hands in hers and said, “Don’t talk about Falun Dafa to the aids anymore. We know it is good. You can practice on your own.”

No longer feeling nervous, I said, “If you are being pressured because of me I can resign.”

“You stay where you are. Don’t worry.”

We talked about Falun Dafa and I answered all the questions she had. In the end, she withdrew from the CCP organizations she previously joined.

Awakening people is also a process of letting go of my own prejudices. One nurse had made things difficult for me when I was new on the job. I disliked her to the point that I did not tell her the importance of quitting the CCP. When I heard that she was resigning, I thought, “As a practitioner, I cannot be choosy about who I save.” I started looking for an opportunity to talk with her.

One day, we were working the same shift, so I ordered take-out and invited her to my office for lunch. After a brief chat, I went straight to the important topic. She nodded as she listened to me. I said to her, “I told you all this because I want you to have a good future.”

She was moved: “Thank you, sister!” She denounced all the CCP affiliated organizations she had previously joined.

One nurse’s aid was known for her selfishness. She was not nice to her patients and demanded tips from their families. She even sold some of her patients’ medications to make money.

I did not like this person and was not planning to clarify the truth to her. However, thinking with a more clear mind and based on the Fa principles, I couldn't not save her because I disliked her behavior. Didn’t Master save us from degradation? I decided to have a talk with her.

I told her about Falun Dafa and the persecution in detail. She was happy to denounce the CCP affiliated organizations she belonged to. To this day, she still has a Minghui calendar in her room. After our conversation, I noticed her treatment and attitude toward her patients improved.

Master Li has planned our paths. It is up to us whether or not we realize the urgency and breakthrough our human notions. Once we put our hearts into awakening more people, many doors will open for us.

Saving people is hard work that requires righteous thoughts and wisdom.
