Additional Persecution News from China – December 13, 2021 (18 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 18 cities or counties in 11 provinces, where at least 33 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Cai Zhihui Sentenced to Seven Years in Prison

Ms. Cai Zhihui from the Shuangcheng District in Harbin City was arrested and detained in Jilin Province on August 1, 2020. She is currently sentenced to seven years in prison.

2. [Beijing] Ms. Wang Yumei Arrested and Detained

Ms. Wang Yumei was reported to police when she distributed truth clarifying materials in the Chaoyang District on November 23, 2021. She was arrested by officers from the Changying Police Station on November 26, 2021. Her home was ransacked and her personal belongings were confiscated including a computer, a printer, her Falun Gong books, and truth clarifying materials. She has been detained for more than two weeks.

3. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Su Guixiu Arrested

Ms. Su Guixiu, 74, was arrested by officers from the Yangtouyu Police Station in November 2021 for distributing truth clarifying materials. She was released later due to her old age.

Ms. Su was reported to police for talking to a young man about Falun Gong and was arrested by officers from the Daxinzhuang Police Station at the beginning of December 2021. Her home was ransacked. Her Falun Gong books and truth clarifying materials were confiscated. She was later released on bail pending trial.

4. [Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province] Three Practitioners Forced to Sign Guarantee Statements

Ms. Hu Zhangqiong, Mr. Wang Shuqing, and Mr. Hu Yiyin who live in Qingsheng Village, Sanjie Town, Pengzhou City were forced to sign guarantee statements. Bai Taiying, secretary of the village Party committee led twelve officers from the town’s police station including Zeng Feng, to Ms. Hu Zhangqiong’s home on November 25, 2021. They forcefully held Ms. Hu and made her press her fingerprint on a guarantee statement. Ms. Hu’s hands were injured during the struggle. These people also went to the homes of Mr. Wang Shuqing and Mr. Hu Yiyin the same day. They did the same thing to Mr. Wang and Mr. Hu, making them sign the guarantee statement against their will.

5. [Dandong City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Zhu Changming Arrested and Detained

Mr. Zhu Changming from Donggang City was arrested on the afternoon of December 9, 2021, because he mailed a truth clarifying material to Shao Changjiang, head of the Donggang City Police Department. Mr. Zhu was placed under 15-day detention.

6. [Zaoyang City, Hubei Province] Six Practitioners Persecuted

Ms. Li Shunhui was arrested and detained for 10 days for talking to people about Falun Gong in early November 2021.

Ms. Chen Ronglian was reported to police for talking to people about Falun Gong in mid-November 2021. She was arrested and has been detained since then.

Ms. Xu Yuzhen and Ms. Li Cailan are currently detained in Wuhan Women’s Prison.

Ms. Zhang Yumei was sentenced to four years in prison and was released in November 2021.

Ms. Chen Xuesong is currently detained in the Xiangyang Prison.

7. [Hengshui City, Hebei Province] The Case Against Three Practitioners Submitted to the Procuratorate

The case against Ms. Li Zhijun, Mr. Han Jinjing, and Ms. Gao Xiuping from Jizhou District was submitted to the procuratorate on December 8, 2021.

8. [Changtu County, Liaoning Province] Wang Jinyou Arrested

Wang Jinyou (gender unknown) from Congsheng Village of Jinjia Town, was arrested in Jinjia Town on December 10, 2021, for distributing desk calendars that contained information about Falun Gong. Wang was fined 1000 yuan and was placed under 10-day detention, which would not be executed immediately due to the pandemic.

9. [Lanzhou City, Gansu Province] Ms. Zhou Yuezhen Arrested and Detained

Ms. Zhou Yuezhen was arrested at home by officers from the Liujiabao Police Station in the Anning District on the afternoon of November 18, 2021. The arrest was related to her case in May 2020.

Ms. Zhou was detained on November 20, 2021, and was placed under official arrest on December 2, 2021. She is currently detained in the No.1 Detention Center of Lanzhou City.

10. [Yichun City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Yang Qiulian Arrested

Ms. Yang Qiulian, 80, was arrested at home by Yichun City police at the end of September 2021.

11. [Huanggang City, Hubei Province] Ms. Zhou Ailing Arrested and Detained

Ms. Zhou Ailing from Macheng City was arrested by the security guards at the Hengtai Mingshi Mansion in Macheng City for distributing truth clarifying materials on December 10, 2021. She was taken to the Macheng City Detention House.

12. [Macheng City, Hubei Province] Ms. Zou Guixiang and Ms. Bai Lihua Arrested

Ms. Zou Guixiang was arrested at home by police on the evening of December 10, 2021. Her home was ransacked. Ms. Bai Lihua was visiting Ms. Zou at that time and was also arrested. It’s unknown where the two practitioners are detained.

13. [Heishan County, Liaoning Province] Ms. Gao Shuhua Arrested

Ms. Gao Shuhua from Banlamen Town was arrested on November 21, 2021. She was detained in the Jinzhou Detention Center and was released on December 8, 2021.

14. [Luoyang City, Henan Province] Ms. Mao Chunxia and Ms. Sun Chunhua Arrested and Detained

Ms. Mao Chunxia was reported to police for talking to people about Falun Gong and was arrested by officers from the Nanguan Police Station on November 25, 2021. She was held for 10 days in the Luoyang Detention House.

Ms. Sun Chunhua, 68, was arrested at home by officers from the Xujiaying Police Station. She was held for 10 days in the Luoyang Detention House.

15. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Xu Qingfang Arrested

Ms. Xu Qingfang was arrested by plainclothes police from the Taihe District Police Department on the morning of December 12, 2021, for distributing Minghui Desk Calendars in Gewang Morning Market. She was taken to the Daxue Police Station. Her home was ransacked.

16. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Xing Ying Detained

Ms. Xing Ying was detained on December 12, 2021.

17. [Linqu County, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhou Guihua Arrested

Ms. Zhou Guihua was arrested by five officers from the Beiguan Police Station on the morning of December 9, 2021. Ms. Zhou was taken to the No.2 Weifang City Hospital for a physical exam and was released later due to her health condition.

18. [Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Xu Fangquan Arrested and Detained

Mr. Xu Fangquan was recorded by surveillance cameras on Yanghui Property when he distributed truth clarifying materials on the afternoon of December 19, 2021. He was reported to the police and was arrested by officers from the Yunshan Police Department. His home was ransacked and the truth clarifying materials were confiscated. Mr. Xu is currently detained in Lianyungang Detention Center and is placed under 7-day detention. His case will be submitted to the procuratorate.
