I began practicing Falun Dafa in 2002 and I have been clarifying the truth on the Internet for more than 15 years. I’d like to tell you about my experience in clarifying the truth in the QQ group over the past few years, the tests I experienced, and how I improved.
Over the years we have heard touching stories about people contacting us and asking for the truth. We also experienced challenging times when no one listened. Although I have experienced roadblocks, I believe there is always a way to save people.
In the early days, we used QQ to clarify the truth. Most of the time, we talked to people one-to-one. Later, we found it was more efficient to talk about Dafa and the persecution in QQ groups to a group of people simultaneously. At first, I did not know how to start when faced with so many people at the same time. Later, I learned how to send truth-clarification materials. I was very excited because when I sent information to the group, hundreds of people could see it at the same time, and many people downloaded it. It felt like many hands stretched out at the same time to accept the flyer I handed out. This also motivated me to keep going. I posted large amounts of pictures, texts, e-books, software, videos, and films every day.
I realized that posting a large amount of truth-clarification information every day is eliminating the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) negative elements. People frequently thanked me and said they appreciated our persistence. Some people said they felt like their eyes and ears were covered if they did not hear the truth we posted. A person said, “I salute you all. You are the ones who light the lamp in the darkness, despite the risks.”
Many people immediately agreed to withdraw from the CCP and its affiliated organizations after they understood the evil nature of the CCP. One person said he received similar phone calls and messages many times before, but he felt that joining the Communist Party organization was in his past and had no bearing on the present. He didn’t even care. This time, he decided to quit the CCP after he saw my posts. He said, “Your patience and persistence touched me.”
Many people who learned the truth quit the CCP and shared the information with their family members and friends. One man said, “The CCP is a demon and the most malignant tumor in the world. The world and China will never have peace as long as this tumor exists.” He quit the CCP organizations, actively spread the word, and helped his siblings and family members also quit the Party.
One person said he felt guilty after I told him the truth about Falun Dafa, because he used to be the chief writer for current affairs commentators in the media. He felt that he did not fulfill the responsibilities of a real journalist. He said, “The CCP is the biggest cult.” He also said he spread the truth online because, “I don’t want my children to live in a dictatorship country like me, so I must speak up.” He asked his wife and child to quit the CCP.
Many people said they quit the CCP when they traveled overseas. One person said, “Thank you! Thank you Falun Dafa friends. Your persistence is the hope of everyone in China.”
One person in Hainan Province told us that he often says, “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” He said his short temper improved, and he became more compassionate. He also said he felt his life was full of hope and that he'd started to read Zhuan Falun.
This year, the world situation changed dramatically. Starting with people awakening due to the situation in Hong Kong, many people are eager to learn the truth. The news and videos produced by fellow practitioners have attracted a lot of attention. When the pandemic broke out in Wuhan, I felt that our time to save people was running out. I had a strong sense of urgency, so I spent more time talking to people about the true situation.
In addition to my usual project of clarifying the truth in the QQ group, I also helped train other practitioners. This took a lot of time, but I always tried my best to do it well.
Master said,

While I was busy with both training and my own tasks, I received a long message from a fellow practitioner in the group. He said that what I said in the group was not compassionate. I was calm. I thanked him for pointing out my problems and said I would improve. Suddenly, I discovered that one of my groups, which had nearly five hundred people, was blocked. I felt frustrated. I did not want to continue anymore, so I talked to my husband about it. As I was talking I realized that I didn’t feel that I had a problem. I did not want to look inward at all, and I did not want to change myself.
The evil seized upon my loopholes and blocked my group. Looking back at my postings in the group, I realized that my tone had become harsh. On the surface, it was because I had to hurry. After all, I was busy. In fact I was impatient and short-tempered. I did not think about the effect that my words had on others. Sometimes I wanted to show off. My tone sounded decisive and cold. As a result, other people could not feel my compassion.
I sincerely thanked fellow practitioners for pointing out the problem to me, and I was sincerely willing to face my problem. I went back to the computer and re-established a new group.
In helping other practitioners familiarize themselves with the QQ group to clarify the truth, I found my subtle and hidden attachments. I realized that I treated them differently depending on where they were from or if they were close to me. I was also reluctant to give out a large group to other practitioners. This behavior directly reflected my selfishness and other attachments.
In the early days, many people did not want to listen. Some verbally abused me, others sent pornographic pictures to insult me, and some asked for money. I ignored most of this interference. Recently, this kind of interference has become less. More people are willing to listen. However, I found that most Chinese people’s moral standards have become very low under the constant brainwashing of the CCP. One day the word “shameless” suddenly popped up in my mind when a person interacted with me. I felt this word described the way most Chinese people acted, but I realized that the situation was complicated.
Master said,
“Each life, each person, is not simple. Behind them is a massive group of beings in the cosmos that they represent. When one person gains salvation, that represents all of the beings behind him gaining salvation in the future. [I say this] because the vast majority of the people on this earth, of today’s people, are heavenly kings who descended to earth, who incarnated here as human beings.” (“What is a Dafa Disciple,” Collected Fa Teachings, Vol. XI)
From the principles of the Fa, I know that these people are all beings from high levels. They each represent a huge group of beings who want to assimilate to Dafa and be saved during the Fa-rectification so that they can enter the new universe. Saving them is crucial to their survival. The vows we made to save sentient beings are very sacred. This is why I have persisted in clarifying the truth on the Internet for so many years.
However, Dafa was cruelly persecuted in China. Countless fellow practitioners were tortured, many became homeless, and some even had their organs harvested while they were alive. I realized that I felt the persecution was unfair and I was resentful.
Master said,
“Compassion comes from a person's cultivation, and it's not something that's acted out; it comes from deep inside, and it's not something done to show others. It's something that exists eternally, and it doesn't change with the passage of time or changes in circumstances.” (“Teaching the Fa at the 2003 Washington DC Fa Conference,”Collected Fa Teachings, Vol. IV)
Once when I clarified the truth at a tourist attraction, a family from China yelled at me. I felt very sorry for them because they would eventually have no future if they did not change their misunderstanding of Dafa. As a result, countless sentient beings behind them would be eliminated. Whenever I think about this I can’t stop crying.
I realized that although I felt compassion for them, I subconsciously held resentment. These subtle attachments were reflected in my dislike of mainland accents, and when I thought some people were “shameless.” When I looked within, I realized that it was caused by selfishness. We should cultivate ourselves, become altruistic and place others first.
I have been seizing every moment to send informational messages online and clarify the truth during the pandemic. I also count the number of people that I helped quit the CCP and always hope I can do better than the previous month. I always felt there was not enough time in each day.
Gradually, I became tired, and I couldn’t continue at the same pace. I looked inward and realized that it was caused by my attachment to the number of people I helped quit the CCP. I deviated from the starting point of clarifying the truth and saving people. I realized that what motivated me was not the sacred mission of saving sentient beings, but my attachment to how many people I could save. After I realized it, I rectified myself and returned to the essential point of saving people.
I will conclude my article with Master’s teaching. Master said,
“Yet as I’ve just said, it’s come to the last stage, and we should all the more do well what we should do, as the closer it gets to the end, the more critical it is.” (“Fa Teaching at the 2019 New York Fa Conference”)
