(Minghui.org) Two Lanzhou City, Gansu Province residents are detained for their faith in Falun Gong, a spiritual and meditation discipline that has been persecuted by the Chinese communist regime since 1999.

Ms. Wang Lin, around 40 and a professor at Lanzhou Jiaotong University, was arrested on August 23, 2020, after being reported by a student for talking to him about Falun Gong. While she has been detained in the Lanzhou City No.1 Detention Center, the police lied and told her family that she'd been transferred to Beijing on November 15 due to the significance of her case. Her family believed them, so they did not try to visit her.

Ms. Cui Chengxiang was told to go to the police station on November 10, 2020, to sign a document. When she did, she arrested and taken to the Lanzhou City No.1 Detention Center.

Ms. Cui’s son went to the Chengguan District Court on December 30, 2020, to inquire about her case. A staff member only told him that the Chengguan District Procuratorate had approved her case on December 14 and the prosecutor is Yang Yuling.

This was Ms. Cui’s second arrest in two months. She was previously arrested at home by over 40 officers on September 3 after she refused to give up Falun Gong. The police confiscated her Falun Gong books and over 150,000 yuan in cash. She was held for a month at Lanzhou City No.1 Detention Center and released on September 30.

She returned to the police station several times and demanded that the officers return her personal belongings, but to no avail. The police chief once shoved her and caused her head to hit the wall.
