(Minghui.org) I am a young Falun Dafa practitioner from Vietnam. A friend told me about Dafa in 2014. When I first started reading Master’s lectures, I wept continuously. My knowing side kept urging me to step up and take on the sacred task of informing people of the truth in order to save them. I told Master, “Revered Master, I came to this world to cultivate and return to my original, true self. I want to save more people as you have asked us to do.”
I made a promise to myself to save as many people as I could. Master must have seen my wish and arranged for many fellow practitioners to help me.
Our tourist site is famous and is a popular destination for tourists from China. Practitioners set up display boards and distributed truth-clarification flyers to Chinese tourists. Together with a fellow practitioner, I followed Chinese tourists to their hotels on my motorbike and handed them the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and hand-made paper lotus flowers.
I spoke almost no Mandarin at first, but I did my best to greet them. For some reason, they were very friendly to me and always happily accepted the Nine Commentaries and the lotus flowers I offered them. I felt no pressure or awkwardness when I approached them.
I will never forget an opportunity Master gave me. I came out of my Chinese class one day and went straight to a restaurant to wait for a group of Chinese tourists to finish their meal so I could give them truth-clarification materials. A Chinese man came out and I gave him a copy of the Nine Commentaries. As soon as he looked at it, he told me he wanted to quit the CCP. I did not even know about the movement to quit the CCP at the time. He promptly wrote down his real name on a piece of paper, handed it to me, and thanked me. I only found out from a fellow practitioner afterward what quitting the CCP meant and how to help someone do it.
That was the first person I helped quit the CCP. Since then, I have approached every Chinese person I met on my way home from work. I would say, “Hello, nice to meet you. I am Vietnamese. My Mandarin is not very good. Have you heard about quitting the CCP?” I give them the information booklet and say, “It’s very special that we meet today. Let me help you quit the CCP. Millions of Chinese have already quit the CCP because anyone associated with the Party may be held accountable for its crimes.” When I put it that way, people were usually receptive and did not hesitate to quit the CCP. Before I went out, I always asked Master to bring the right people to me and to give me the wisdom and compassion necessary to save more people.
One time a Chinese man came to the hair salon where I work. While washing his hair, I clarified the truth to him, but he remained silent. He came a second time while I was busy with another client, so he left. The third time he came was just after I had finished studying the Fa. This time I asked Master to help me save him. I invited him in and served him tea. I said, “This is the third time we have met, so fate must have played a strong part in it. Would you like me to sing for you?” He nodded.
I sang the song “Coming for You.” The lyrics are: “Coming from far away, again and again, I come for you, I come for you, I come with love for you. Precious Chinese people, please listen to my heart-felt voice, wonderful Falun Dafa, Falun Dafa Hao!” We both wept. I offered him a booklet and said, “Let me help you quit the CCP so you’ll be safe.” He said yes and thanked me.
Chinese tourists stopped coming to Vietnam earlier this year due to the CCP virus (coronavirus) pandemic. At first I was very upset. I wept, thinking I would never have an opportunity to save Chinese people again. However, a week later I was told I could phone people in China. That gave me hope, and I was willing to do anything to reach Chinese people. With Master’s blessing, I soon found a location where practitioners meet to study the Fa and make phone calls to China.
When I first started making calls to China, I did not know what to say. I only managed to say hello in reply when the person on the other end said hello. I decided to study the Fa and ask Master for help. Help did come my way. Fellow practitioners started sending me suggestions on how to clarify the truth, how to greet the listener and talk about quitting the CCP. I read these scripts aloud every day using pinyin so I could memorize them. Over time, the more I practiced, the more effective my efforts were in clarifying the truth over the phone.
Master said,
“The higher one’s level, the greater the gong potency, and the more powerful the supernormal abilities.” (Lecture Three, Zhuan Falun)
Our team studied the Fa in the morning and made phone calls afterward. Some of us made phone calls while others sent righteous thoughts or looked up phone numbers. I was very focused on my task, so the result was good. The success rate on some days was as many as 15 people quitting the CCP. It was a great encouragement to our team. Sometimes when we did not do so well, we took time to assess the situation and encouraged each other to do better by letting go of our human attachments. We never blamed each other regardless of the outcome.
After seven months on the team, I heard that Vietnamese practitioners were allowed to join the RTC phone calling teams. The RTC platform allows Mandarin-speaking practitioners all over the world to make truth-clarification phone calls to China and has many experienced practitioners participating. I was uncertain whether I could join them because my Mandarin was still very limited.
At the same time, a practitioner called me and said, “I don’t think you should join the RTC telephone teams because your Mandarin is rather poor by their standard.” I was advised to play pre-recorded audio instead. It was not what I wanted to hear. I asked Master to help me to make calls to China so I could save more people. Another practitioner told me, “Dafa can open the widest door. Master has given Vietnamese practitioners this golden opportunity to save people. Of course you should join them.” Instantly, I felt better as my righteous thought came forth and I made the decision to join the RTC telephone teams.
The RTC administration introduced a process to assess the Vietnamese practitioners’ standard of Mandarin. I was very nervous on the day of my level one assessment because I never had to speak so much Mandarin before. The Mandarin I used before to converse with Chinese was about all I knew or understood. The assessment was a much bigger challenge. The conversation covered a wider range of topics, so it required a higher level of listening skills and quick responses. But I was undeterred regardless of how difficult it was. I was determined to pass so I could save more people. And I did. I am now honored to be a member of the RTC teams.
I felt this strong righteous energy when I joined the RTC platform, and everyone was so helpful to us Vietnamese practitioners. I had many unforgettable experiences making phone calls. One Chinese man I called and sent a video to was initially very rude to me. However, when I called him a second time, he did not say anything or reply to my text message on quitting the CCP. A few months later, I saw his phone number appearing on a new app I had installed on my new phone. I wanted to save this man and asked Master for help. I kept sending him text messages to advise him to quit the CCP for his own good. One week later, I was surprised to receive a call from him. After I clarified the truth to him as per the RTC script, he was eager to quit the CCP and even expressed his wish to read Zhuan Falun.
Being on the RTC teams improved my xinxing and my Mandarin proficiency. I became more patient and less attached to pursuing the desired outcomes while making calls. I took time to ensure my messages were understood by my Chinese listeners.
Master said,
“I think that at the tourist sites, you should not take quitting the Party or the Young Pioneers, or the “three withdrawals” itself, as your goal. Remember, everyone, you are to have clarifying the truth and saving people as your goal!” (“Fa Teaching at the 2016 New York Fa Conference,” Team Blue Translation)
Sending righteous thoughts often to eliminate my impatience and attachment to pursuit also helped. I became more compassionate over time and wished from the bottom of my heart that my listeners would be receptive to the truth and be saved. Sometimes they would listen to me for 15 to 20 minutes before exclaiming, “Falun Dafa is good! Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good!” It occurred to me that the more I improved my xinxing and let go of human attachments, the more receptive my listeners were.
After five months with the RTC teams, I joined a telephone team targeting government officials in Beijing. My first thoughts were: I have to be more diligent in sending righteous thoughts and Fa study for this task because Beijing is the evil’s stronghold. I felt quite tired sometimes but still had to study the Fa late into the night. I said to Master, “Master, you have endured so much for your disciples and sentient beings. What must I do to save more people?” Reminding myself every day of Master’s grace gave me the strength to keep going.
One call I made one day stretched out to three phone calls before the Chinese man on the other end of the line finally accepted the truth. On my first call, he could not understand me and hung up. I called him back, and after putting up with his verbal abuse, I said to him politely, “It’s my sincere wish that you are saved from any impending disaster because I believe you deserve to be. It’s not a coincidence that we have the opportunity to talk to each other today. Would you please listen to me?” I went on to clarify the truth to him.
He listened to audio recordings of how people all over the world practice Dafa, Tiananmen Square self-immolation hoax, and the CCP’s live organ harvesting crimes, and then he hung up. I was determined to save him, so I pleaded to Master, “Master, please help me save this sentient being.” I called him a third time and told him, “I have a lucky pseudonym for you here that will bring you good health and safety. All you need is to say yes and you will be blessed and protected by the divine.”
A loud and clear “Yes” came back. He was very emotional, and we both cried. He said “I love you!” to which I replied, “I too love the Chinese people very much. I have come for you, precious Chinese people.” I could hear him crying even louder as I continued, “My friend, you must tell your family the truth I have told you, and when disaster strikes, don’t forget to pray for divine intervention by reciting ‘Falun Dafa is good’ and ‘Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good!’” He thanked me profusely.
The other practitioners were really touched and encouraged when I shared that call experience with them. We all wanted to work harder because sentient beings were waiting for us to awaken them.
It has been eight days since this project of targeting Beijing government officials started. I have successfully helped 71 people quit the CCP. Some listened to my calls for as long as 11 to 13 minutes before hanging up. Sometimes it took five calls to the same listener before they fully grasped the significance of the truth and decided to quit the Party.
Each day I make as many as 100 calls, sometimes even 200. I usually skip breakfast to save time. During my lunch break I study the Fa, do the exercises, and make calls. I also made sure dinner is quick so I could get on with making calls.
History will enter a new phase in the not-too-distant future. Our journey of cultivation in this Fa-rectification period has not been easy, but let’s be more diligent and take every opportunity we have to save more sentient beings.
