Making phone calls to clarify the truth about Falun Dafa (also called Falun Gong) to people and awaken the conscience of people, is one the three things that I’m tasked with. For that, I joined the global telephone rescue platform more than four months ago. At the beginning, I felt that it was difficult. Then I thought, “I must follow what Master said, and not give it up. I should only put my mind on how to make more effective phone calls.”
Therefore, I adjusted my mindset, after which I learned the ropes from other practitioners. In order to help sentient beings be receptive to me, I had about a dozen different approaches to break the ice. When making the call, if a person was older than me, I’d address them as "Big Brother" or "Big Sister." If the person was younger than me, I’d call them brother or sister. When someone was of similar age to my daughter, I’d just refer to them as my child.
One time, my phone call got through and the recipient was a police officer whose age was close to my daughter's. I said, “My child, I am calling you today solely for your benefit. Although science is so advanced, the coronavirus, such a tiny virus, put the whole world at its wit’s end. We humans are helpless in the face of this catastrophe. No matter how high your position ranks or how much wealth you have, if you lose your life, then everything counts for naught. That said, we must be able to distinguish good from evil, and be kind, in order to be protected by heaven.”
Then, I said that Falun Dafa is a Buddha school cultivation way, which has been spread to more than 100 countries, and has hundreds of millions of followers worldwide. I also covered the staged “self-immolation hoax”, the fall of the Roman Empire, South Asia's Tsunami, prophesy from Liu Bowen, how the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has persecuted its own people, and how not to become the scapegoat of former head of the CCP Jiang Zemin who started the persecution. Finally, I told him that one could only secure one’s safety by withdrawing from the CCP. He quietly listened to me for over eight minutes before hanging up.
A police officer from the Haidian District Police Department in Beijing had listened to me for 30 minutes. When I checked with him to see if he was still listening, instead of saying anything, he sent me five emoticons in a row. The first one was crying, the second one was with a straight face, the third one was smiling, the fourth was smiling more broadly, and the fifth was a thumb-up. Seeing his expression chain, I truly felt happy for him for having learned the truth. In addition, I played a few truth-clarification recordings for him. This phone call took more than an hour.
When a police officer from the Taiyuan Police Department picked up the call, he told me that he'd already stopped participating in persecuting Falun Gong. Then he asked me where I got his phone number. I told him that he was identified by the World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (WOIPFG) as a perpetrator of the persecution. I said I also knew his birth date. But he still wanted to prove that he wasn’t the one I was talking about, so he asked me if I knew how to spell his name. I spelled it for him. When he asked me again to see if I knew his colleagues’ names, and I gave him a few, he became quiet.
I told him to do whatever he could to unconditionally release all Falun Gong practitioners arrested and illegally held, and to do his best to recover the losses he has caused practitioners due to the persecution. For example, he should return all money and goods that he had confiscated from practitioners. He finally understood what I meant, and decided to renounce his memberships in the CCP and its youth organizations.
The global rescue platform is a great place for cultivation. Every morning after we finish sending forth righteous thoughts at the global set time, we recite the Fa for an hour and a half. At the beginning, it didn’t quite fit my schedule, but I made some adjustment so that I could join them every day. When practitioners recited the Fa, their voices sounded so united. They did it very diligently, which helped me gain a better understanding of the inner meanings of the Fa. Thus, in my day-to-day life, I could use the standard of the Fa to measure myself in my every word and action. My improvement was very quick.
