My Amazing Experience After I Looked Inward

(Minghui.org) My daughter is responsible for her company's assets. Last September after an employee resigned, she locked the computer assigned to this employee in a cabinet. Soon the company hired a new employee and my daughter opened the cabinet to get the computer for the new person. To her surprise, the computer was gone. She searched everywhere but could not find it. The supervisor publicly criticized her.

My daughter used to practice Falun Dafa and knew how to be a good person. She did not argue with the supervisor and decided to check the surveillance videos. But the cabinet happened to be in the corner which was not covered by the surveillance camera. The company had to buy the employee a new computer. Even though the company did not ask my daughter to compensate for the loss, she blamed herself and told me about it.

Master said,

“Nothing you encounter is simple, accidental, or an ordinary thing. It must have to do with your cultivation and your improvement.” (Teaching the Fa in the City of Los Angeles)

During the time that this happened, my computer would not connect to the Minghui website. A practitioner helped me to reinstall the operating system. However, after it was reinstalled, the computer monitor no longer worked.

The practitioner brought his monitor over to debug the issue for me. It showed that my computer was fine and he suggested I get another monitor, even a second-hand one.

I checked at the store but I did not want to spend the money on a new monitor. I was also afraid that a second-hand monitor wouldn't be reliable. A practitioner phoned me and told me he borrowed a monitor for me from another practitioner. I was very happy.

When I heard my daughter lost the company’s computer, my first thought was that I had some omissions in my cultivation. I looked within and found many attachments, such as attachment to personal interests, the anxiety of not being able to connect to the internet, complaints about the practitioner who did not successfully reinstall my computer, worrying about the second-hand monitor’s reliability, and zealotry upon hearing another practitioner could lend me a monitor. I must truly cultivate myself and get rid of all these attachments.

Master said,

“If you truly take these things that seriously, you will be able to restrain them. Then you will be able to weaken them and gradually get rid of them completely. If it's a case where you are aware of it and feel anxious about it, but in practice, you don't truly restrain and suppress it, then in reality you are just stopping at this mental activity of seeing and feeling something, but you haven't taken any action to suppress that thing. In other words, you have only thought about it but not actually cultivated and put it into practice.” (Teaching the Fa in San Francisco, 2005)

I told the practitioner that I would purchase the monitor that the other practitioner agreed to lend me if I decided to replace my monitor. I should follow the standards for Dafa practitioners and not take advantage of others.

While reading experience sharing articles the next day, I was attracted by a practitioner’s experience of using his divine power to move ID cards. I thought that I am also a Dafa practitioner, and have the powers bestowed by the Fa. I should be able to use my divine power as well. The loss of the computer my daughter locked away may have been caused by my cultivation omissions. I should be able to help her find that computer. I just thought about it but did not pursue it.

It’s really as Master said,

“Cultivation depends on one’s own efforts, while the transformation of gong is done by one’s master.” (Lecture One, Zhuan Falun)

My daughter phoned me that evening and told me she found the missing computer. When she sorted through the cabinet, she found the computer there where she had looked many times before. She immediately reported this to her boss. When my husband heard, he was so touched that he stood in front of Master's photo and sincerely thanked him. Our entire family witnessed the miracle of Dafa.

What is even more amazing is that my broken monitor miraculously functioned normally after another practitioner reset it a few days later. I was then able to visit the Minghui website again.
