(Minghui.org) I began to practice Falun Dafa in 1996. I have been clarifying the truth to people every day since 1999. Wherever I go, I tell people about Falun Dafa. I am now 79 years old.
I never judge people. I believe they are all arranged to cross my path to hear the truth. I do not want anyone to miss such a sacred opportunity.
Clarifying the truth is also a process of cultivation. I do it with wisdom and a clear mind. I also explain the facts from different perspectives according to the listeners’ professions, social status, and preferences. The results have been good. People usually quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations after they know the truth. I’ve spoken to leaders, journalists, professors, teachers, and students. I talk to everyone. I have run into interference and danger, but with Master's protection I got through it all.
I send forth righteous thoughts for 30 minutes before I go out to clarify the truth. I remain peaceful and compassionate and I smile.
I met a man in his 60s. He was a county magistrate, and his son was a high-ranking officer in the army. I talked about the corruption in society. I said that so many people could not afford to see a doctor or go to school, while the corrupt officials were everywhere. He agreed.
I told him my experience of practicing Falun Dafa: “I had over a dozen ailments. I had to wear winter coats in the summer to stay warm. I took a lot of medicine every day. Nothing cured me. My friends asked me to practice Falun Dafa and said it had a powerful effect on healing illness. I was skeptical but gave it a try. After a few months, my ailments were cured. Falun Dafa also teaches people to be good.”
I explained to him that Jiang Zemin started the persecution all because of his jealousy.
He said, “You should not go to Beijing to protest.”
I said, “We go to Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa because there is nowhere else to go.”
I also asked him to quit the CCP. He was happy to oblige. He said, “This is the third time you’ve told me the truth about Falun Dafa. Thank you.”
A man in his 50s yelled at me and tried to drive me away when he found out I was a Falun Dafa practitioner. I remained calm and did not give up and chatted with him about other topics. He asked me my age and was surprised when I told him I was in my 70s. He said I looked much younger. I explained that all Falun Dafa practitioners look younger than their actual age.
I told him about my daughter-in-law who had leukemia in 2000. We spent more than 200,000 yuan at a famous hospital in Beijing, but she only got worse. My daughter-in-law cried every day in the hospital. She had an 11-year-old son and did not want to die and leave him. My son asked her to practice Falun Dafa with me. She was not a believer but she had nothing to lose so she gave it a try. Her appetite returned after one week, along with increased strength.
My daughter-in-law went back to the hospital for a check-up a week later. The doctor was noticeably surprised when he saw her. He wanted to know what medicine had made her look so well. She confessed that it was Falun Dafa that saved her. The doctor said that he’d treated 34 similar cases, and all the patients died. He said, “No wonder Falun Dafa practitioners do not give up their belief even with the persecution.”
The man listened quietly and understood. He said, “I did not know that Falun Dafa was good. Please help me quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations.” With the heart to save people, I knew Master had helped me to save him.
Another time, I saw a man in his 60s who looked well educated and went over to chat with him. He told me he worked for the Central Investigative Commission.
I said, “Since your job is to investigate corrupt officials, you must know more about how corrupt the officials are than I. I understand your job must be challenging. Please quit the corrupt CCP.” He agreed and thanked me.
