(Minghui.org) Although the lockdown is restrictive, and a stumbling block when it comes to holding Falun Dafa activities outdoors, it has helped practitioners hone their skills in using social media effectively to reach out to more people.

Practitioners decided to use social media to publish articles related to July 20, 1999 (when the persecution started), and call for an end to the 21-year-long persecution. More than 20 online portals, printed media and TV channels published articles in English and various Indian languages.

Practitioners from cities all over India were asked to send photographs and video clips of their thoughts on July 20 for the online candlelight vigil.

On July 19 and 20 practitioners organized live sessions on Facebook that featured:

- A compilation of photographs and video clips that were shown as practitioners held candlelight vigils to commemorate July 20.- A short truth-clarification video and a YouTube video with a song about July 20 that was made by Falun Dafa practitioners in India that was streamed.- “When the Plague Arrives” was also shown.

In the viewers' comments, many condemned the persecution and wanted to know how they could help. Many viewers wanted to know more about the persecution and also how to learn the Falun Dafa exercises.
