Keep Kindness in Mind While Writing Experience-Sharing Articles
(Minghui.org) After I was released from more than one year of detention for practicing Falun Dafa, I was still harassed at home at times by people from various agencies, including the 610 Office, the police department, and the residential community.
There was a constant stream of strangers knocking on my door for various reasons: checking for gas leak, registering non-local residents, delivering food to the wrong address, etc. And whenever I went out, there was always someone following me. I felt these people were waiting for a chance to arrest me again.
I believe that nothing is coincidental. I looked inward and realized that the reason behind all of this might be the article I published on Minghui.org, in which I detailed how I was being harassed after being released.
Instead of showing compassion for the perpetrators, I was more or less showing off how I successfully resisted harassment from the police, especially one particular policeman assigned to monitor me. The policeman could well have read the article and become hostile towards me.
When I had the chance to talk to the policeman, I tried my best to have compassion for him and treat him like a friend. He told me that he specialized in arresting thieves and drug addicts. Later on, he was transferred to the police department and tasked with monitoring Falun Dafa practitioners. He took his job seriously and always wanted to get his job done well. But, he didn't know that Falun Dafa practitioners didn’t do anything wrong, but were persecuted simply because of our belief.
I realized that this policeman was a good person, but was made use of by the old forces. If I had born more kindness in mind while writing the aforementioned article, the policeman may not have been so hostile.
I told the policeman that the health benefits of practicing Falun Dafa, the staged Tiananmen Square self-immolation hoax, and the fact that Falun Dafa is being practiced and embraced in over 100 countries and is only banned in China.
I reminded the policeman of how evil the Communist Party is. He listened and agreed. Although he still has to follow the instructions from his superiors, I could feel his attitude was changing and he didn’t spend as much effort to monitor me.
Master said in “Definitive Conclusion” from Essentials for Further Advancement,
“The desire to show off plus the attachment of zealotry are most easily exploited by the demonic part of your mind.”
I would like to remind fellow practitioners that the articles published on Minghui.org will also be read by policemen and 610 Office agents. We should bear kindness and compassion while writing articles, with the purpose of saving more people.
