(Minghui.org) Only one month after a Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province resident finished serving one year at home for her faith in Falun Gong, the police submitted her case to the procuratorate because she talked to a delivery person about Falun Gong.

Falun Gong, also known as Falun Dafa, is an ancient spiritual and meditation discipline based on the principles of “Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance.” In the past two decades of persecution by the Chinese communist regime, Ms. Jiang Sugen has been repeatedly targeted for her faith. Her husband passed away as a result of the persecution.

Ms. Jiang, in her 70s, was arrested on November 29, 2017, after being reported for talking to people about Falun Gong at a wholesale market. She was released on bail the next day.

On April 20, 2018, Ms. Jiang went to the Wuzhong District Court to attend the hearing of another Falun Gong practitioner, Ms. Yuan Jianying. She was denied entry by Zhang Zhenhua, head of the local branch of the 610 Office, an extralegal agency created specifically to persecute Falun Gong.

An active participant in the persecution, Zhang expressed discontent for Ms. Jiang’s release on bail the year before. Upon seeing Ms. Jiang at the courthouse again, he vowed to send her to prison.

Under Zhang's directive, the police harassed Ms. Jiang at home the next day. They soon submitted her case to the procuratorate.

Ms. Jiang appeared twice in Wujiang District Court, on October 31 and December 3, 2018. Her lawyer entered a not-guilty plea for her. She was sentenced to one year in prison and fined 1,000 yuan on April 19, 2019. The judge ordered her to serve time outside of prison.

On May 29, 2019, Ms. Jiang was arrested again after being reported by the person who delivered an air conditioner to her home, for talking to him about Falun Gong. A dozen officers raided her residence and confiscated her Falun Gong books, a computer, and other belongings. She was found to have dangerously high blood pressure and released on bail.

After her one-year term ended in April 2020, the police submitted her case (for talking to the delivery person) to the Wujiang Procuratorate on May 19, 2020.
