Additional Persecution News from China – June 12, 2020 (13 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 13 cities or counties in seven provinces, where at least 31 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Baoji City, Shaanxi Province] Eight Practitioners Arrested, Another Four Facing Trial

Ms. Li Baolian, Ms. Li Baorong, Ms. Kou Aimei, Ms. Qin Lijie, and four other practitioners who work at the Baoji Petroleum Machinery Factory were arrested on June 5, 2020, while studying the teachings of Falun Gong at Ms. Li Baolian’s home. The place was ransacked. The practitioners’ whereabouts are unknown.

Ms. Wang Yalan, Mr. Jiao Bingnan, Mr. Shen Hongqi, and Ms. Xu Mingxia from Qishan County are due to be tried in Caijiapo Town on the morning of June 18. The four practitioners are being held in the Qishan Detention Center.

2. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Ms. Fan Zhongli Arrested

Ongniud Banner resident Ms. Fan Zhongli was arrested by Liu Caijun and other officers from the Ongniud Banner Domestic Security Division on May 20, 2020. Her home was ransacked.

3. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Liang Ruiqing Detained

Qianxi County resident Ms. Liang Ruiqing, 60, was arrested by plainclothes officers on the morning of June 7, 2020, and taken to Chengguan Police Station.

Ms. Liang was transferred to the Qianxi Detention Center for 15 days.

4. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Guixia Detained

Ms. Zhang Guixia from Xinbin County was arrested by officers from Wangqingmen Town Police Station on April 9, 2020, after someone reported her for distributing Falun Gong fliers in the Jiangnan area of Wangqingmen. She is being held in the Xinbin Detention Center.

5. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Laiyuan County residents Ms. Li Jianping and her husband were arrested by officer Zhang Fang from the Domestic Security Division on the morning of June 5, 2020. They were released later that afternoon.

Ms. Gao Xiuping and Ms. Zhao Chunxia from Laiyuan were arrested by officers from the Laiyuan Domestic Security Division on the morning of June 6. Some of their personal belongings were destroyed, including Falun Gong calendars.

6. [Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Jiang Arrested

Ms. Jiang from the Shuangta District was arrested by officers from the Beita Police Department on the morning of June 11, 2020. Her Falun Gong books and a picture of the founder of Falun Gong were confiscated.

7. [Shanghai] Ms. Yao Juying Facing Trial

Ms. Yao Juying, a retired teacher in her 70s, was arrested by Jinshan District police officers on March 1, 2019. She was held in the Jinshan Detention Center for over a month before being released on bail. She recently received a subpoena stating that she will be tried in court on June 23, 2020.

8. [Xiangyang City, Hubei Province] Ms. Cai Jinlan Arrested

Ms. Cai Jinlan was arrested on June 3, 2020, after someone reported her for talking to people about the persecution.

9. [Guanghan City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Chen Daoxiu’s Store Ransacked

Ms. Chen Daoxiu’s grocery store was ransacked on the morning of June 11, 2020.

10. [Handan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Haiying and Ms. Liu Ziying Arrested

Ms. Li Haiying and Ms. Liu Ziying were arrested by officers from the Sijiqing Police Station on the afternoon of May 31, 2020, for talking to people about the persecution. Their homes were ransacked.

Ms. Liu was later released. Ms. Li was detained for 15 days.

11. [Binzhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Aihua and Ms. Zhang Yuping Arrested

More than thirty officers from the Xincheng Police Station arrested Ms. Zhang Aihua and Ms. Zhang Yuping from Yangxin County on the afternoon of June 3, 2020. They confiscated an electric bicycle, Falun Gong books, and informational materials.

12. [Beijing] Three Practitioners Detained

Mr. Yang Baozhu and his wife Ms. Guo Xiulan from the Changping District were arrested on May 3, 2020. Mr. Yang was released on June 9. Ms. Guo is still being detained.

Tiantongyuan Neighborhood resident Ms. Zhao Fenglan, 66, was arrested on May 22. She is being held in the Changping Detention Center.

13. [Chongqing] Ms. Yang Yufang’s Home Ransacked

Ms. Yang Yufang’s home was ransacked by officers from the Beibei District's Tiansheng Police Station on the afternoon of June 3, 2020. Her Falun Gong books and a picture of the founder of Falun Gong were confiscated.
