(Minghui.org) There are many stories of people who have survived seemingly deadly accidents or were protected from danger after they learned about Falun Dafa and recited the two phrases “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.”
Here are two such stories.
A Woman Nearly 80 Years Old: “I Managed to Stop My Husband and a Cart Full of Watermelons”
I am almost 80 years old; I’m very thin. Two years ago, I went to a supermarket with my husband. We purchased six watermelons in a shopping cart and stepped onto an escalator. My husband stood in front of me and held onto the cart.
While we were halfway up, my husband and the shopping cart suddenly tumbled down towards me!
I quickly shouted: “Falun Dafa is good, Falun Dafa is good!”
In that split second, I was able to stop the cart and my husband, before either could fall.
After we arrived home, my husband was fine and only felt that his back was a bit sore. We both realized how lucky we were. One of our friends fell down an escalator and ended up having to have a craniotomy, with complications that lasted for years.
Recovering from Bowel Obstruction
A Falun Dafa practitioner and her husband are both in their 80's. Two months ago, her husband developed stomach pains and abdomen extensions. He had no bowel movements for over a week.
Medication did not help, and his condition got worse by the day. His abdomen was so stretched out that the skin was shining and the pain was excruciating. He could not eat at all. If he tried to eat anything, he would throw up right away.
The hospital CT showed a complete bowel obstruction. The doctor suggested emergency surgery and asked them to pay 10,000 yuan; he would be hospitalized immediately. The wife told him to recite “Falun Dafa is good.”
He did not refuse this time. He was in such pain that he felt like he could not handle it anymore. He began to recite the phrases with all his heart. The doctor ordered a colonoscopy before the surgery, suspecting that he had a tumor.
After the practitioner’s husband recited the phrases all day, he finally felt the urge for a bowel movement and asked to go home. The doctor let him go after asking him to sign a responsibility waiver.
Upon arriving at home, he had a very large bowel movement and his obstruction disappeared afterward. He rested for a couple of days and is now completely recovered!
