(Minghui.org) Two women in Chengdu City, Sichuan Province are facing trial for raising awareness about their faith in Falun Gong, a mind-body practice that has been persecuted by the Chinese communist regime since 1999.

Ms. Zhong Hua, a translator at a foreign company, and Ms. Ran Wenfang, a piano teacher and single mother, in their 30s, talked to a person on the street about Falun Gong on May 26, 2019. After they left, that person reported them. The police tracked the two women down and arrested them on their way back home.

The Jinniu District Procuratorate approved their arrests on July 1, 2019, and indicted them and forwarded their cases to Jinniu District Court in March 2020. Both women are currently held at Pi County Detention Center.
