Additional Persecution News from China – May 4, 2020 (8 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in eight cities or counties in five provinces, where at least ten practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Tian Baoxia Arrested

Ms. Tian Baoxia from the Jiansanjiang area was arrested by officers from the Qixing Farm Police Station, Jiansanjiang Agricultural Reclamation Administration, on the morning of May 2, 2020. Her Falun Dafa books, a printer, computer, cell phone, and 50,000 yuan in cash were confiscated.

2. [Huludao City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Wenjuan Arrested

Ms. Wang Wenjuan was recently arrested by officers from the Suizhong County Domestic Security Division.

3. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Qiuping’s Case Turned Over to Procuratorate

Ms. Wang Qiuping was held in a psychiatric hospital for more than six weeks. Officers from the Heping District Domestic Security Division and the Maluwan Police Station transferred her to the Shenyang City No. 2 Detention Center on April 13, 2020.

The detention center have not allowed any family visits, and it refused to accept the clothes they sent for her.

Ms. Wang’s case was turned over to the Heping Procuratorate on April 27.

4. [Foshan City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Cai Caiying Arrested

Ms. Cai Caiying, a teacher of English at the Zhangcha Primary School, was arrested on March 11, 2020. Her whereabouts are unknown.

Ms. Cai was previously taken to a forced labor camp for a year in November 2000. Agents from the Foshan City 610 Office took her to the Foshan Detention Center in early April 2004, and she was later sentenced to a seven-year prison term.

5. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Xiaolin Arrested

Ms. Wang Xiaolin from the Development Zone was arrested by officers from the Fulai Police Station on the morning of April 26, 2020. Her Falun Dafa books, computer, printer, and printed materials were confiscated. She was held in custody for 24 hours before being released on bail for one year after her relatives paid 5,000 yuan.

6. [Liaocheng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Qiuyu and Her Husband Arrested

Ms. Zhang Qiuyu was arrested by officers from the Jiangguantun Police Station in the Development Zone and by Jiangguantun administrative personnel on April 25, 2020. Her Falun Dafa books, printed materials, and cash were confiscated. She was released later that afternoon.

Ms. Zhang’s non-practitioner husband was arrested and taken to the police station on the morning of April 27. The police asked him where the Falun Gong materials came from.

7. [Chongqing] Ms. Liu Chaoshu Arrested

Ms. Liu Chaoshu from the High-Tech Zone was arrested on May 1, 2020, for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong. Her whereabouts are unknown.

8. [Lu County, Sichuan Province] Several Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Wang Xianshu, Ms. Yi Qunren, and several other practitioners were arrested on May 1, 2020.
