Additional Persecution News from China – May 2, 2020 (7 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 7 cities or counties in 4 provinces, where at least 15 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Qixia City, Shandong Province] Mr. Wang Zhisheng’s Home Ransacked
2. [Chongqing] Ms. Liu Zubi and Mr. Chen Lun Arrested
3. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Xie Mingyu and Other Practitioners Arrested

1. [Qixia City, Shandong Province] Mr. Wang Zhisheng’s Home Ransacked

Mr. Wang Zhisheng’s home in Yejiabu Village, Cuiping District was ransacked by Qixia City police on April 30, 2020. His computers and printers were confiscated.

2. [Chongqing] Ms. Liu Zubi and Mr. Chen Lun Arrested

Ms. Liu Zubi and Mr. Chen Lun were arrested and taken to Shiyoulu Police Station by several officers on the morning of April 25, 2020. Ms. Liu's bag was taken away. Police ransacked her home and confiscated Falun Gong books and materials, as well as other items.

Ms. Liu was released the next day. Officers repeatedly went to her home and harassed her. Mr. Chen's whereabouts are unknown since the evening of April 27, 2020.

3. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Xie Mingyu and Other Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Xie Mingyu, 70, Ms. Yang Zhongbi, 69, and Ms. Zheng Qinde were arrested by officers from Kaixuanlu Police Station on the morning of April 28, 2020. Their home keys, Falun Gong informational discs, and Ms. Xie’s 80 yuan in cash with printed Falun Gong messages were confiscated. They were released in the afternoon.

Ms. Chen Xiaofen, 76, and Ms. Zhou Xuexiao, 72, were arrested by officers from Zhenjiangsi Police Station on the morning of April 29, 2020. They were released in the afternoon.

4. [Fuxin City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Huo Yanhong Arrested

Mr. Huo Yanhong, around 50, lives in Wangying Village, Hanjiadian Town. He was arrested for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong by officers from Dongliang Police Station on the morning of April 28, 2020. His home was ransacked. Falun Gong flyers, cell phones, informational discs, and other property were confiscated. His electric bike was returned to him from the police station the next day.

5. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Bai Shaoping and Others Arrested

Ms. Bai Shaoping’s home was raided by officers from Taihe District Domestic Security Division on the afternoon of April 26, 2020. The officers confiscated her Falun Gong books and discs, as well as other property. Ms. Bai, her sister Ms. Bai Shaojie, and her sister's five-year-old granddaughter were taken to Beijiao Police Station. They were released at night, after the officers extorted 30,000 yuan from their family.

6. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Hou Hongqing and Mr. Tan Qiucheng Detained

Mr. Hou Hongqing, around 48, and Mr. Tan Qiucheng were arrested at a rental home in Changchun City by officers from Lishu County Domestic Security Division on August 15, 2019. They are detained at Siping City Detention Center.

7. [Shanghai] Ms. Tao Juxian and Ms. Zhu Xiufeng Sentenced

Ms. Tao Juxian was sentenced to two years and six months in prison and fined 5,000 yuan by Railroad Transportation Court on December 28, 2019. Ms. Zhu Xiufeng was sentenced to two years and nine months and fined 10,000 yuan by Railroad Transportation Court on December 25, 2019.
