(Minghui.org) Seven residents of Deyang City, Sichuan Province were harassed in March 2020 for their faith in Falun Gong, an ancient spiritual and meditation discipline that has been persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party since 1999.
Ms. Gou Chengxiu and Ms. Duan Qiongxiu were arrested on March 6, 2020, after being reported for talking to people about Falun Gong. The police body searched them and ransacked their homes. They also took the practitioners’ photos and collected their fingerprints and blood samples, before releasing them at around 11 p.m.
The police later tried to harass Ms. Duan at home, but she didn’t open the door for them.
On March 15, two plainclothes officers and one staff member from the residential committee harassed Ms. He Fengzhen. They took her photo and confiscated her copy of Zhuan Falun, the main text of Falun Gong.
On March 17 and 18, the officers harassed Mr. Lu Baoyin and Ms. Fu Yuanxiu, respectively.
Ms. Wang Huitai and Ms. Jiang Cuiqin were also harassed, and their families were terrified.
