(Minghui.org) I am a Falun Gong practitioner from Liaoning Province in northeast China. The physical exercises and principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance not only improved my heath but also made me a better person. So I often tell people I meet in my daily life about the benefits of the practice.
The coronavirus pandemic has made me very worried. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has been blocking information and does not let people know the facts. Many have gotten sick or even died. As a practitioner, however, I know that people will be blessed if they listen to their conscience to preserve traditional values and support innocent practitioners.
There are very few pedestrians out walking, or people taking the bus. Seeing that most of the vehicles on the roads are taxis, I have decided to get around by taxi. At least I can talk to taxi drivers about Falun Gong.
First Taxi Driver
Not long after I went out, a taxi stopped next to me. When I asked the driver how things were going today, he said, “Not many customers. But I have to work or I won’t have enough to cover the administrative fee.”
I nodded, adding that many CCP officials were corrupt. “They don't care about people,” I said. “Take 78-year-old Ms. Li Guirong who lived not far from here. Just because she practiced Falun Gong for her health and to be a better citizen, she was arrested in 2006 and tortured for 7 years in jail.”
The driver asked a few questions about Falun Gong and I clarified them. When I told him how Ms. Li became an outstanding school principal because of Falun Gong, and then about her death in Liaoning Women’s Prison in January 2020, the driver went silent.
At my destination, I told him to remember the phrases “Falun Dafa is good” and “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” He agreed and thanked me for the information.
Second Taxi Driver
I took another taxi home from the shopping mall. As we talked about the number of confirmed coronavirus cases, he expressed doubt that the numbers being reported were accurate. He said that when some people in his community were sick, the local administrators refused to report their cases to their superiors.
I told him that overseas media had already reported that the CCP was covering up cases like this. For example, one report from Chaoyang City Health Commission to Liaoning Health Commission on February 23, 2020, showed that several government agencies had been told to destroy earlier, raw data related to the pandemic.
“It included Chaoyang Transportation, Lingyuan City Government, Longcheng District Government, and other agencies,” I said. “Not only that, officials also tracked down everyone with access to the data and forced them to sign non-disclosure agreements.”
We continued talking, and I told him that this was not the first time the CCP had used falsified data to deceive people. He nodded, saying he had heard the same thing from his relatives. “The CCP is rotten to the core,” he added.
When I got out of the car, I reminded him again to keep in mind the phrases mentioned above to be safe during the pandemic. He was very touched.
Walking towards my building, I heard a voice calling “Falun Dafa is good. Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good!” I turned back and saw he was still stopped, smiling at me, and waving goodbye.
