Additional Persecution News from China – March 25, 2020 (12 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 12 cities or counties in five provinces, where at least 22 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Hohhot City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Mr. Chen Furong and His Wife Ms. Liang Fangying Detained

Mr. Chen Furong and his wife Ms. Liang Fengying were followed by officers from Huimin District Domestic Security Division on March 9, 2020, suspected of distributing informational materials about Falun Gong. They were arrested by officers from the Huagonglu Police Station, and taken to the Hohhot City No. 1 Detention Center.

2. [Beijing] Ms. Yu Shuran Arrested

Ms. Yu Shuran was arrested by officers from the Jinsong Police Station, Chaoyang District, on the afternoon of March 18, 2020, for distributing Falun Gong materials the day before.

3. [Jiaohe City, Jilin Province] Mr. Chen Fusen and Other Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Chen Fusen and other practitioners from Xigangzi Village, Songjiang Township, were arrested on the evening of March 22, 2020.

4. [Tianjin] Ms. Cong Peishan Arrested

Ms. Cong Peishan from the Nankai District was arrested at home on the morning of February 26, 2020. Her home was ransacked. She was released the following afternoon, and has been living under surveillance.

5. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Dong Chunqi Arrested

Ms. Dong Chunqi was arrested by officers from the Weifang High-tech Zone Police Department's 610 Office on March 6, 2020, for distributing Falun Gong materials. Domestic Security officers ransacked her home, and confiscated Falun Dafa books, a computer, printer, and audio players.

6. [Liaocheng City, Shandong Province] Five Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Ma Yuzhi, Ms. Zhang Wenling, and three other practitioners from the Dongchangfu District were reported to the police on the afternoon of March 17, 2020, for talking to people about Falun Gong in the Xiangjiang area.

They were arrested by officers from the Xiangjiang Police Station, and their homes were ransacked.

7. [Langfang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Dong Guirong and Ms. Liu Fengying Arrested

Ms. Dong Guirong and Ms. Liu Fengying from Yanjiao Town were reported to police on the afternoon of March 16, 2020, for talking to people about Falun Gong. They were arrested by officers from the Yanshunlu Police Station.

8. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Mr. Zheng Weigui Arrested

Mr. Zheng Weigui was arrested on March 24, 2020, for distributing Falun Gong informational materials.

9. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Ms. Pei Suyan Arrested

Ms. Pei Suyan and her non-practitioner husband from Mutoudeng Town, Qinglong County, were arrested at home on the morning of March 24, 2020. Their residence was ransacked.

Ms. Pei was taken to the Mutoudeng Police Station. Her husband was later released.

10. [Hengshui City, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Surong’s Home Ransacked

Liu Xiongfei and other judicial officials from Liman Township, Raoyang County, went to Ms. Li Surong’s home in Nanhan Village, and ransacked the place on the morning of March 23, 2020. They confiscated Falun Dafa books, photos of the founder of Falun Gong, and audio players.

11. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Cases of Four Practitioners Turned Over to Court; Ms. Zhang Daqiu’s Case Turned Over to Procuratorate

The Harbin Railway Transport Procuratorate transferred Ms. Zhang Haiyan’s case to the Harbin Railway Transportation Court on February 26, 2020.

The cases of Ms. Dong Wenxiu, Ms. Wang Shulan, and Ms. Wang Yurong have also been turned over to the Harbin Railway Transportation Court.

Ms. Zhang Daqiu from the Daoli District is being held in the Daoli Detention Center. Her case has been turned over to the Daoli Procuratorate.

12. [Hulin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zou Jiping Arrested

Ms. Zou Jiping, 61, was arrested by officers from the Hongqi Police Station on February 20, 2020. The officers confiscated her computer. Her whereabouts are unknown.
