(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 14 cities or counties in nine provinces, where at least 28 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Li Fanglan's Home Ransacked

Officers from the Jinxian County Domestic Security Division ransacked Ms. Li Fanglan's home in Lidu Town on the morning of February 8, 2020. They confiscated Falun Gong books, cash, and other personal belongings.

2. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Six Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Li Yuying was arrested by officers from the Wuyilu Police Station on February 15, 2020, for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong. She was taken to the police station, where she was interrogated and beaten.

Ms. Lili, Ms. Jiang Cuilan, and Ms. Liu Bingxiang were arrested by officers from the Xinhuajie Police Station on March 14, 2020, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong.

Mr. An Liqing and his wife Ms. Huo were arrested by officers from the Xinhuajie Police Station on February 16, 2020, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. Mr. An was taken to the Zhangjiakou City Detention Center for 15 days. Ms. Huo was released because she failed the physical exam.

3. [Renqiu City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Shuzhen Arrested

Ms. Wang Shuzhen, from the Huabei Oil Fields, was arrested on the morning of March 16, 2020, after someone reported her for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She was taken to the Daoxi Police Station. Her Falun Gong books and other personal belongings were confiscated.

4. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Tao Yongjuan Detained

Ms. Tao Yongjuan was arrested by officers from the Qianjindajie Police Station on February 25, 2019. She was held in the Changchun Fourth Detention Center for 15 days.

5. [Huizhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Lin Liqiong and Mr. Chen Shitian Detained

Ms. Lin Liqiong and Mr. Chen Shitian from Huidong County are being held in a detention center.

6. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Ms. Bi Zhongmei Arrested

Ms. Bi Zhongmei from the Zhangdian District was arrested by the village Party secretary Yu Lei, officers from the Domestic Security Division and the police station on March 18, 2020. Her home was ransacked. She was taken to the Hutian Police Station, and released on bail later that night.

7. [Beijing] Ms. Fan Shuqin and Ms. Fu Yueqin Arrested

Ms. Fan Shuqin and Ms. Fu Yueqin from the Haidian District were arrested on March 13, 2020, after someone reported them for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. Police officers ransacked their homes.

Ms. Fan was later released. Ms. Fu is still being detained.

8. [Weihai City, Shandong Province] Mr. Wang Yifan's Case Passed to Procuratorate

Mr. Wang Yifan from Baishatan Town, Rushan City was arrested by officers from the Rushan Police Department in December 2019, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong in the Changjiazhuang Open Market. His case was passed to the Rongcheng City Procuratorate in early March 2020.

9. [Shanghai] Ms. Tao Liyun Detained

Ms. Tao Liyun from Gaohang Town, Pudong District was arrested on March 11, 2020. She is being held in the Zhangjiang Detention Center.

10. [Daye City, Hubei Province] Ms. Dong Yuxia and Ms. Li Xiju Arrested

Ms. Dong Yuxia and Ms. Li Xiju from Yangxin County were arrested by officers from the Yangxin Domestic Security Division on the evening of March 17, 2020. Ms. Li was later released.

11. [Zhunyi City, Guizhou Province] Ms. Lei Zhifen Arrested

Ms. Lei Zhifen from the Honghuagang District was arrested by Yang Bo and other officers from the Honghuagang Police Department on the afternoon of March 2, 2020, for handing out Falun Gong fliers. The officers ransacked her home, and confiscated Falun Gong books, computers, printers and other personal belongings.

Ms. Lei was released later that night.

12. [Bozhou City, Anhui Province] Five Practitioners Sentenced

Ms. Mu Lifang and her three sisters from the Qiaocheng District were each sentenced to a seven-and-a-half-year prison term and fined 50,000 yuan by the Qiaocheng District Court.

Ms. Jiang Jianmei was sentenced to a four-and-a-half-year prison term and fined 30,000 yuan.

The five practitioners appealed, and their cases are now with the Bozhou City Intermediate Court.

Ms. Wang Cuiyan from Liutuo Village, Zhonghanzhuang Township, Wangdu County was arrested by officers from the Zhonghanzhuang Police Station on March 20, 2020. She was taken to the Wangdu Police Department.

14. [Yingtan City, Jiangxi Province] Updates on Arrested Practitioners

Ms. Li Meilian, Mr. Zhang Jinlong, Mr. Li Jinlong, Mr. Xu Weihua, Ms. Huang Yumi, Ms. Liu Yunfang, and other practitioners were arrested on March 16, 2020, and taken to the Yingtan City Detention Center.

Ms. Liu was released two days later. The other practitioners are still being held in the detention center.
