Additional Persecution News from China – March 30, 2020 (7 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in seven cities or counties in five provinces, where at least 13 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Loudi City, Hunan Province] Mr. Cao Gongxun Passes Away Due to Persecution

Mr. Cao Gongxun, 68, was incarcerated for nine years in Wangling Prison, You County, Zhuzhou City. He was disabled from being subjected to torture.

After being released from prison, he was taken to a nursing home in Loudi City by Huangnitang Sub-district Administrative personnel on February 20, 2019.

Mr. Cao passed away in the nursing home on October 13, 2019.

2. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] Mr. Li Chaosheng Sentenced to Prison

Mr. Li Chaosheng from the Yaohai District was sentenced to a two-and-a-half-year prison term for refusing to give up his belief in Falun Gong.

3. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhang Ruijun Arrested

Mr. Zhang Ruijun from the Sibaoshan Sub-district, Zhangdian District, was arrested by officers from the Huantai County Domestic Security Division around March 19, 2020. He was released on bail.

4. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Hongmei and Ms. Lu Haiying Arrested

Ms. Liu Hongmei and Ms. Lu Haiying from Wangliu Town, Weicheng District, were reported to police on the morning of March 21, 2020, for talking to people about Falun Gong in Bailingzhuang Village, Wangliu Sub-district. They were arrested by residential police officers from Wangliu Police Station.

The police extorted 3,000 yuan from Ms. Liu’s family, and 5,000 yuan from Ms. Lu’s family. Both practitioners returned home that evening.

5. [Guiyang City, Guizhou Province] Six Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Long Jiabi was recently arrested at home by officers from the Nanming District Domestic Security Division. Her whereabouts are unknown.

Ms. Wu Guoqun and three other practitioners were arrested by officers from the Beijinglu Police Station on March 14, 2020. They were released later that day.

Ms. Liu Ying was arrested at Qianlingshan Park on March 16. Her home was ransacked. She was released the same day.

6. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wu Chunhua’s Case Turned Over to Procuratorate

Ms. Wu Chunhua's case was turned over to the Ganjingzi District Procuratorate in recent days.

Ms. Wu is from the Yingchengzi Sub-district, Ganjingzi District.

Mr. Liu Yuansheng’s case has been turned over to the No. 2 Criminal Tribunal, Shenyang City Intermediate Court.
