Additional Persecution News from China – March 17, 2020 (13 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 13 cities or counties in 7 provinces, where at least 25 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Yin Feng and Other Practitioners' Cases Sent to Court
2. [Xianning City, Hubei Province] Ms. Cheng Weiping Detained

1. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Yin Feng and Other Practitioners' Cases Sent to Court

Ms. Yin Feng, Ms. Chen Lianmei, and other practitioners were arrested by officers from Jinan City Railroad, the Dongzhan Police Station, Guansi Police Station, Huayuan Police Station, and Zhangjiakou Police Station on the morning of July 16, 2019. Their homes were ransacked.

The Laiwu District Procuratorate submitted their cases to the Laicheng District Court.

2. [Xianning City, Hubei Province] Ms. Cheng Weiping Detained

Ms. Cheng Weiping, 60, from the Xian’an District, was arrested on March 12, 2020, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She was taken to the Xian’an Detention Center.

3. [Chongqing] Ms. Yu Chufang's Case Passed to Procuratorate

Ms. Yu Chufang, 70, from the Kaizhou District in Chongqing, was vacationing with her family in Modao Villa, Lichuan City, Hubei Province in July, 2019. She and her husband were arrested by officers from the Lichuan Domestic Security Division for using money which had Falun Gong messages printed on them. Their place was ransacked.

Her non-practitioner husband was released that night. Ms. Yu was held for a month in the Lichuan Detention Center. She was released on bail due to her poor health, and is now under house arrest. Lichuan Police submitted her case to the Procuratorate.

4. [Yichun City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Chen Lingjun Arrested

Mr. Chen Lingjun was arrested on February 5, 2020, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. He was released later that day.

5. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Ms. Xiao Guozhen Arrested

Ms. Xiao Guozhen from Dingxing County, in her 70s, was arrested by officers from the Ludong Police Station in late February, 2020, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. Her home was ransacked, and personal belongings were confiscated.

6. [Panzhihua City, Sichuan Province] Four Practitioners from Same Family Arrested

Mr. Liu Xiaoxing and his sisters, Ms. Luo Qiaoli and Ms. Luo Qiaoping, were seen on surveillance cameras distributing Falun Gong fliers. They were arrested by agents from the city's 610 Office and police officers. Their homes were ransacked.

Their mother, Ms. Li Mingming, was arrested the same day for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. Her home was ransacked. She was released later that day after officers took her temperature at the police station and found it to be very high.

7. [Yingtan City, Jiangxi Province] Several Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Li Meilian, Ms. Zhang Jinrong, Ms. Liu Yingfang, and other practitioners were arrested in an open market on the morning of March 15, 2020. They are being held in the Yingtan City Case Center and Jiaotong Police Station in Yuehu District.

8. [Yiyang City, Hunan Province] Mr. Li Aiguo and Ms. Wang Caiyun Arrested

Mr. Li Aiguo and Ms. Wang Caiyun were arrested by plainclothes officers from the Taohualun Police Station on the morning of March 12, 2020, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. Their homes were ransacked.

Mr. Li and Ms. Wang have since been released.

9. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Five Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Yao Shuxia from Hailin City was arrested by officers from the No.1 Police Station and Ding Yuhua, head of the Domestic Security Division, on February 12, 2020, for distributing Falun Gong fliers. Her home was ransacked, and money and other personal belongings were confiscated.

Ms. Zhu Fuying, Ms. Cao Fengmin, Ms. Hao Shengqiao, and Ms. Yao Shuxia were arrested at the same time.

10. [Handan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Gao Jiuyun and Ms. Hu Lianxiang Arrested

Ms. Gao Jiuyun and Ms. Hu Lianxiang from Quzhou County were arrested by Li Bin, head of the Quzhou County Domestic Security Division, and several other officers on the evening of February 18, 2020.

Both practitioners' homes were ransacked, and their personal belongings confiscated. Ms. Hu was later released, but Ms. Gao was taken to the Handan City No.3 Detention Center.

11. [Tianjin] Ms. Yin Lu Arrested

Ms. Yin Lu from the Binhai District was arrested on March 16, 2020. Her home was ransacked, and Falun Gong books were confiscated.

12. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Shulan Arrested

Ms. Liu Shulan from Xiaoxinzhaizi, Ganjingzi District was arrested on the afternoon of March 11, 2020, for distributing Falun Gong U-Drives. She was taken to the Xinzhaizi Police Station. Her home was ransacked.

Ms. Liu was later released.

13. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Ms. Zhang Xinqi Detained

Ms. Zhang Xinqi from Ningxiang County was arrested on February 13, 2020, after someone reported her for distributing Falun Gong fliers. She was taken to the Yutan Town Police Station.

Ms. Zhang was detained for 15 days, before being released.
