Additional Persecution News from China – March 6, 2020 (12 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 12 cities or counties in seven provinces, where at least 14 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Huaying City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Xu Xiaolan Arrested, Ms. Peng Qingling’s Home Ransacked

7. [Chongqing] Ms. Zhang Renmei and Ms. Li Xuehui Detained
8. [Tianjin] Ms. Lu Houfen Secretly Sentenced to Five and a Half Years in Prison

1. [Huaying City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Xu Xiaolan Arrested, Ms. Peng Qingling’s Home Ransacked

Ms. Xu Xiaolan was arrested on the afternoon of February 28, 2020. Her home was ransacked.

Police officers also ransacked Ms. Peng Qingling’s home, and confiscated Falun Dafa books.

2. [Qingyun County, Shandong Province] Ms. Du Xiaojing and Ms. Wang Yuexia Held in Detention Center

Ms. Du Xiaojing was reported to the police in late September 2019. She was arrested by the Wudi County police, and taken to Dezhou Detention Center.

Ms. Wang Yuexia from Dazhuang Village, Xinyang Town, Wudi, was arrested by officers from the Xuyuanzi Township Police Station on November 15, 2019. She was taken to Dezhou Detention Center.

3. [Zhengzhou City, Henan Province] Ms. Dong Huanying Arrested

Ms. Dong Huanying was arrested on March 4, 2020.

4. [Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Li Zhendi Held in Detention Center

Ms. Li Zhendi was arrested on March 1, 2020, for distributing Falun Gong informational materials in Guandu Town, Potou District. She is being held in the Xiashan District Detention Center.

5. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Shang Guimin Passes Away after Spending 14 Years in Prison

Mr. Shang Guimin from Mulan County was imprisoned for 14 years, and endured tremendous physical and mental suffering. After returning home, his health did not improve. He died on February 29, 2020, at age 55.

6. [Fuzhou City, Fujian Province] Ms. Li Yaping Arrested

Ms. Li Yaping was recently arrested while distributing Falun Gong informational materials.

Ms. Li had been imprisoned for four and a half years for distributing Falun Gong materials, and returned home less than a year ago.

7. [Chongqing] Ms. Zhang Renmei and Ms. Li Xuehui Detained

Ms. Zhang Renmei and Ms. Li Xuehui from the Nanchuan District were seen on video surveillance cameras distributing Falun Gong materials. They were arrested on February 5, 2020, and taken to the Nanchuan Lockup Center for 15 days. Their homes were ransacked.

Both practitioners were transferred to a detention center.

8. [Tianjin] Ms. Lu Houfen Secretly Sentenced to Five and a Half Years in Prison

Ms. Lu Houfen was arrested at her front door by officers from the Nankai District Domestic Security Division and Guangkai Police Station. She was held in the Nankai Detention Center, and tried by the Nankai Court on January 23, 2019.

When Ms. Lu’s daughter went to the detention center to deposit money for her in December 2019, prison guards told her that her mother had been taken from the detention center in September.

Ms. Lu was secretly sentenced to a five-and-a-half-year prison term, and is now incarcerated in the Tianjin City Women's Prison.

9. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Yu Shuhua Arrested

Officers from the Fulaishan Police Station, Development Zone, posing as property management personnel, knocked on Ms. Yu Shuhua’s door, and arrested her on February 24, 2020. The officers confiscated a computer, cell phone, the book Zhuan Falun, card readers for computer external storage, USB flash drives, and memory cards.

The police ransacked her home again, and confiscated Falun Dafa books and printed materials.

Ms. Yu was taken home two days later by officers from the Fushan District 610 Office. The officers ordered security guards in her residential community to keep an eye on her, and prevent her from leaving.

10. [Puyang City, Henan Province] Ms. Wu Baolan Arrested

Ms. Wu Baolan was reported to the police on the afternoon of February 28, 2020, for distributing printed cards with the message, “How to Protect Yourself During the Pandemic.” She was reported to the police, and arrested by officers from the Daqinglu Police Station. She returned home later that night.

An officer with the last name Liu phoned her on March 5, telling her to go to the police station the following morning.

11. [Meizhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Wu Xiaolan Detained

Ms. Wu Xiaolan was reported to the police for talking to people about Falun Gong. She was arrested by officers from the Xingning Police Department, Heshui Police Station, and more than twelve Heshui Residential Committee personnel on February 21, 2020. Her home was ransacked.

Ms. Wu was detained for ten days, and returned home on March 2.

12. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Jinglin Arrested

Ms. Li Jinglin was reported to the police for talking to people about Falun Gong. She was arrested by officers from the Hepingxilu Police Station on February 26, 2020. Her home was ransacked.

Ms. Li refused to cooperate with the police, and was released later that evening.
