(Minghui.org) The elderly parents of a Beijing man have been repeatedly harassed in the past few months while he has been on the run to avoid being persecuted for his faith in Falun Gong.

Mr. Chen Shihua’s father, 88, was traumatized by the harassment, and his Alzheimer's symptoms worsened. He often screamed and cried, both day and night. Mr. Chen’s mother, 80, is also suffering from anxiety and unable to sleep while taking caring of her husband.

Mr. Chen, 54, used to work at Capital Airport Middle School in Beijing, but he was later fired for refusing to renounce his faith.

He was arrested multiple times, in 2003, 2008, and 2011, respectively. He was given a term at Qianjin Prison and two terms in Xin’an Forced Labor Camp and Tuanhe Forced Labor Camp following the arrests, though the exact term lengths remain to be investigated.

While being held in a brainwashing center in 2003, Mr. Chen suffered a comminuted fracture in his spine and became disabled.

During the time he wasn’t detained, the police and staff from residential committee constantly harassed him at home.

It also remains to be investigated how long he has been forced to live away from home to avoid the persecution.
