(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in six cities or counties in four provinces, where at least seven practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Luoyang City, Henan Province] Ms. Ma Shufen's Home Ransacked

Ms. Ma Shufen, 80, had her home ransacked on February 27, 2020.

2. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Sui Ying Sentenced

Ms. Sui Ying was sentenced to a three-and-a-half-year prison term and fined 5,000 yuan by the Huangdao District Court. She appealed, and her lawyer received a notice from the Qingdao Intermediate Court on February 29, 2020, upholding the original verdict.

3. [Luoding City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Shen Xuemei Facing Trial

Ms. Shen Xuemei was arrested on September 30, 2019, and is being held in the Luoding Detention Center. Her case was brought to the court.

4. [Guiyang City, Guizhou Province] Ms. Li Yuanyou Sentenced

After being detained for 15 months, Ms. Li Yuanyou, 62, was sentenced to a three-year prison term. Her lawyer appealed to the Guiyang Intermediate Court.

5. [Beijing] Ms. Fang Ling and Ms. Dong Wenlan Arrested

Ms. Fang Ling and Ms. Dong Wenlan were arrested at Ms. Fang's home by several officers from the Tianningsi Police Station on February 17, 2020. Ms. Fang's laptop and cellphone were confiscated. Both practitioners were taken to the police station. The police later ransacked Ms. Dong's home, and confiscated her Falun Gong books and other personal belongings.

Both practitioners were held for 24 hours, before being subjected to a three day criminal detention term. However, they were informed the next day that the sentence had been changed, and they were to be released on bail pending trial.

Ms. Fang and Ms. Dong were released that evening.

6. [Tai’an City, Shandong Province] Ms. An Huilan Arrested

Ms. An Huilan, 76, was arrested by four officers from the Nanguan Police Station on February 27, 2020, for posting informational stickers about Falun Gong.

The police later ransacked her home, and confiscated pictures of the founder of Falun Gong, audio players, and Falun Gong books.

She was interrogated at the police station, and released at 10:00 p.m.
