(Minghui.org) After the novel coronavirus broke out in China, I took the opportunity to raise awareness of the persecution of Falun Gong. During the process, I used extra caution to find common ground with people in the conversation. I avoided talking about things that could potentially make people puzzled or trigger negative thoughts.

We can use news about the coronavirus to lead a conversation and back up our points. I’ve also found the comments made by people quitting the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and related organizations very helpful.

Nowadays, many people are doing the three withdrawals, including many physicians and nurses on the front-line. Through the pandemic, they personally learned about the evil nature of the CCP and refused to be associated with it anymore. Their first-hand accounts are very powerful in helping people understand the facts.

In this article, I would like to share with fellow practitioners how I clarified the facts to people about the epidemic and how we need to do it with rationality and wisdom to help people better understand the facts, without pushing them away.

The Communist Party Doesn't Care About or Value People’s Lives

Most people agree with us that “the Communist Party doesn't care about or value people’s lives.” Then when we talk about how the CCP covered up information about the epidemic and missed the critical period to prevent the outbreak, most people agree.

We can also give a few examples about how they covered up the information.

Internal documents from the Naval University indicated that the school authorities were aware of the virus in 2019. They issued a notice as early as on January 2, 2020 to prevent external personnel, especially people with a fever, from entering the school. The school authorities also mobilized resources to prevent the spread of a novel pneumonia outbreak.

In another leaked email by Wang Yanyi, the director of the Wuhan Institute of Virology, she sent an “important reminder” to all members of the institute on January 2, 2020, that they were “strictly prohibited from disclosing information related to pneumonia of unknown cause in Wuhan to the public.”

On January 18, 2020, despite knowing about human-to-human transmissions, the authorities in Wuhan still held a potluck party of more than 40,000 families, in which people celebrated their “prosperous and harmonious lives” under the CCP’s leadership. Many party goers contracted the virus.

We can also talk about citizen journalists who went missing for reporting on the epidemic at the front-line or the eight doctors who were criticized by the police for “spreading rumors” about the outbreak.

Epidemic Prevention Is Done to Maintain Stability and Control, not Rescue and Treatment

There was an internal document leaked online from the Hubei government, which stated that the focus of epidemic prevention efforts was to maintain stability and control, not to rescue people or provide treatment to them. It also mentioned “one’s life and death is one’s own fate and they only cared about social stability.”

When I touched upon this topic, I also went on to discuss why the CCP focused so much on stability. I usually tell people that the CCP is afraid of things that might threaten its power, because it is not a legitimate government elected by its citizens. It is afraid that the epidemic might shake its power, so it’s covering up the cases and deceiving people that “everything is under control.”

In fact, when the CCP launched the persecution of Falun Gong in 1999, popularity of the practice and the fact that the number of practitioners outnumbered CCP members was one of the major factors.

Being Extra Cautious When Saying “The Natural and Man-made Disasters are Retribution for the Persecution of Falun Gong”

While most people agreed with me on most of the points, some were still skeptical about the connection between the disasters and karmic retribution from persecuting Falun Gong.

When people ask, “There are many countries also affected by the virus, did they persecute Falun Gong too,” we might be put on the defensive and it would take us a lot of time to explain. It might also affect our credibility in the meantime.

We should avoid saying things with such an absolute tone. But we may say it from another perspective that the CCP has done so many bad things against nature and humanity, it is inevitable that natural and man-made disasters abounded.

People Recovering by Saying “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good”

I think we also need to be careful when talking about people recovering from the virus by reciting the auspicious phrases, and not make absolute statements about it. As many people no longer believe in the divine but have deep belief in science, they might find it is unbelievable and unscientific that someone can recover from the disease by just saying two phrases. For them, we might want to start with basic information about Falun Gong and the persecution.

After people have a positive understanding about Falun Gong and withdraw from the CCP, we can still bring up such miraculous recovery stories, and say that for those who sincerely believed and wholeheartedly said the phrases, they have indeed recovered. By that time, people might receive such stories better, rather than when we bring it up in the beginning of the conversation.

Persuading People to Quit the CCP and Its Affiliated Organizations

While talking to people about the epidemic, it’s very important for us to persuade them to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations.

During the epidemic in Wuhan, a large number of patients were not able to receive much needed medical treatment, and were left in extremely miserable situations. So many people were crying for help, but countless numbers of them were turned down by the hospitals due to lack of resources. Many people were afraid to return home, fearful of infecting their family members.

From traditional Chinese culture, we learned that plague is usually an indicator of the government’s wrongdoing. Looking at the history of the CCP, since the time it seized power, it has launched political campaigns one after another to persecute Chinese citizens. Over 80 million have died as a result.

From crushing the students at the Tiananmen Square, to harvesting vital organs from living Falun Gong practitioners, to holding Uighurs in concentration camps in Xinjiang, the CCP’s killing has never stopped.

It’s heaven's justice that the CCP be eliminated. Through the misery during the pandemic, more and more people are able to see the CCP for what it is. At this critical historic moment, we can choose a bright future for ourselves by withdrawing from the CCP and its related organizations.
