(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners in Melbourne, Australia participated in the annual Glenferrie Festival on Sunday, March 1, 2020. Located in the suburb of Hawthorn, the Glenferrie Festival is one of Melbourne’s largest community festivals and attracts more than 100,000 people annually.
At the Falun Dafa booth, some practitioners demonstrated the exercises, while some of the practitioners who are more fluent in English passed out fliers to visitors and answered questions about the traditional spiritual practice.
Many festival attendees signed the practitioners' petition calling for an end to the persecution of Falun Gong in China, and some of the attendees said that Falun Gong is the spiritual practice that they have been looking for.

The Glenferrie Festival has been held for 25 years and had more than 250 stalls selling food and artisan products this year. The festival also had live entertainment, including a parade, music, fashion shows, and theme park rides.
The Falun Dafa tent was set up on a street in front of a beauty salon. The owner of the salon, Edward Jollie, said he was very familiar with Falun Gong. “Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance should be the values of people’s everyday lives. They apply to all situations, from the family to the work place, and relationships between people. And I follow these values in my life, too,” he said.
He said the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners, their families and children is terrible, “I believe these lives lost in the persecution are not in vain. Falun Gong will prevail in the end. It is just a question of when.”
Hawthorn resident Mark Victorsen signs the petition. He said that Falun Gong’s principles, Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance, are very good. “Especially that we should be compassionate to each other,” he said.
College student Naries Janthakam said Falun Gong’s principles can help a person to know oneself and keep a clear mind. “I believe truthfulness and tolerance are the most fundamental qualities in life,” he said.
School teacher Rachael Foster heard about Falun Gong for the first time at the festival. She was interested in taking up a cultivation practice. “I recently listed the 10 most important values for myself, and compassion was the top one. Being a teacher, I always want to have compassion all the time. Falun Gong is just what I am looking for. This is truly great!”
