Additional Persecution News from China – February 10, 2020 (7 Reports)

1. [Tonghua City, Jilin Province] Mr. Zhao Guiyong and Wife Ms. Li Hua Arrested

Ms. Li Hua and her husband Mr. Zhao Guiyong were reported to the police for posting “Falun Dafa is Good!” stickers on the afternoon of February 7, 2020. They were arrested by three officers from Laozhan Police Station. They were taken to the Dongchang Police Department for interrogation. Officers from the Laozhan Police Station ransacked their home and confiscated Falun Dafa books, printed materials, photos of the founder of Falun Gong, a desktop computer, cell phones, an MP5, and over 350 yuan worth of paper bills with Falun Gong facts printed on them. The police also took their daughter’s cell phone.

The couple were taken to the Railway Hospital for physical examination and then to a detention center. The detention center refused to admit them. They were brought back to the police station. The police brought their daughter to the police station, and demanded that she provide a guarantee. The couple was released on bail for one year.

2. [Panzhihua City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Chen Bixiu Arrested

Ms. Chen Bixiu, 71, was arrested at home and her home ransacked by a group of people on the evening of October 4, 2019. She was taken to Midiqiao Police Station in Dong District.

3. [Changyi City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhu Fengqi Arrested

Elderly practitioner Ms. Zhu Fengqi was reported to the police when she distributed information about Falun Gong on February 1, 2020. The officers took Ms. Zhu to Dongyuan Police Station for interrogation. Later the officers brought her home and ransacked the place. When her family refused to open the door the officers climbed over the wall and broke in. They confiscated Falun Dafa books, a notebook computer, and a desktop computer.

4. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Yang Guixian Held in Prison; Ms. Hu Jixiu Held in Detention Center

Ms. Yang Guixian, about 70, was taken to Guangdong Province Women's Prison, where she was abused. She is now emaciated and appears to have aged.

Ms. Hu Jixiu was arrested on February 2, 2020, for talking to people about Falun Gong. She is being held in Haizhu District Detention Center. Her husband went to visit her twice, but was not allowed to see her.

5. [Shantou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Wu Peishan Detained

Ms. Wu Peishan and her non-practitioner husband were arrested by officers from Jinsha Police Station on the afternoon of February 8, 2020. The husband was released that evening. Ms. Wu was taken to Tuopu Detention Center for 15 days of detention.

6. [Guilin City, Guangxi Autonomous Region] Mr. Zhao Renyuan and Wife Ms. Xie Jianxin Arrested

Mr. Zhao Renyuan texted his loved ones on February 5, 2020, that he and his wife were arrested. It was reported that they are probably being held in Jinjiling Detention Center.

Ms. Lu Guohua was arrested on February 8, 2020.
