80-Year-Old Man Recovers Three Days After a Car Accident
(Minghui.org) On my way biking home from grocery shopping on October 12, 2019, I was hit head-on by a speeding car. I flew in the air and landed on my back. I could not move.
“I will be fine,” I said to myself. I immediately recited the phrases, “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” I then sat up and moved around. I noticed some bruises on my arms and right lower leg. My back was numb. Since it was rush hour, I struggled to stand up and pushed my bike to the sidewalk.
The driver of the car and a traffic policewoman came to me. They suggested that I go to the hospital. The driver was a 32-year-old woman surnamed Yang. She was scared to death when she realized that I was nearly 80. I told her not to worry, and I assured her that I would be alright since I am a Falun Dafa practitioner. She called my family and took me to a hospital.
The doctor didn’t find any problems after an exam and made a follow-up appointment with me. Yang called a taxi to send me home. I persuaded her and her husband to quit the CCP and related organizations.
When I arrived home, I began to feel uncomfortable. I had a hard time sitting or lying down. I had pain all over my body. I listened to Master Li Hongzhi’s Fa teachings and did the Falun Dafa meditation. I was able to sit up afterwards. Then I read the book, Zhuan Falun, the main text of Falun Dafa. After I finished reading a lecture, I stood up to do the standing exercises. I had a hard time standing, so I leaned against a wall. I felt the pulsating pain when I stood up. I endured the pain and finished the exercises. Three days later, I was able to walk down the stairs by myself.
When I took my bike for repairs, a young man at the shop was surprised to hear about my quick recovery. He said that his mother-in-law used to practice Falun Dafa, but she gave it up after the persecution began in 1999. She suffered from many ailments and is often hospitalized. He said he would share my story with her and ask her to pick up the practice again.
