1. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Liu Wansheng Sentenced to Prison
Mr. Liu Wansheng was given a six-year prison term by the Linghai Court on September 30, 2020. Mr. Liu has appealed to the Jinzhou City Intermediate Court.
2. [Liaocheng City, Shandong Province] Mr. Liu Qingliang Sentenced to Prison
Mr. Liu Qingliang in the Liaocheng Development Zone was seen by surveillance cameras mailing truth-clarifying materials to the Qihe County Domestic Security Division.
He was arrested at his schoolmate’s home in Wangtang Village by the county Domestic Security officers on May 8, 2020. His home was ransacked, and he was taken to the Dezhou City Detention Center the next day.
It was reported in recent days that he was tried via video-link by the Qihe County Court on October 28, 2020. The court did not allow his family to attend the hearing, and only his lawyer was allowed to defend in a separate location. Mr. Liu was sentenced to three years in prison.
3. [Xinzhou City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Zhou Xiuli Sentenced to Prison
Ms. Zhou Xiuli in Wuli Village, Dai County, was arrested when she returned to Inner Mongolia to visit her parents in July 2020.
She was then returned to and held in the Xinzhou City Detention Center. She was sentenced to prison in October.
4. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Four Practitioners Facing Trial
Ms. Zhang Hong, Ms. Zhang Bing, Mr. Xiong Liangzheng, and practitioner Zhou Xiaofen (gender unknown) in Hanyang District were arrested while talking to people about Falun Gong in April 2018.
The police ransacked their homes and confiscated computers, printers, DVD burners, and DVDs.
Ms. Zhang Hong and Mr. Xiong were released on bail for health reasons. Ms. Zhang Bing and Zhou are still being held in the Wuhan City No. 1 Detention Center.
The four practitioners will be tried by the Hanyang District Court on November 5, 2020.
5. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Huilin Officially Arrested
Dong Xuefeng and Feng Lei, officers from the Huanggezhuang Town Police Station, Fengnan District, went to Ms. Wang Huilin’s home on October 20, 2020. They asked her family to sign her arrest warrant.
The Procuratorate personnel went to Ms. Wang’s home on the afternoon of October 28, and asked her to sign a sheet slandering Dafa, which she refused.
6. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Several Practitioners Arrested
Ms. Xu Meiying, in her 70s, was arrested by a group of people from the State Security Division and Police Department of the Agricultural Reclamation Management Bureau at a farmers market in the No. 858 Farm in Hulin City on October 31, 2020.
Subsequently the group of officers ransacked homes of Mr. Teng Jingui and his wife Ms. Sun Xiujin, Ms. Xu Xiuqin, Ms. Tan Chunyi, Ms. Li Rongqin, and Ms. Liu Hongmei. They arrested Mr. Teng, Ms. Sun, Ms. Xu, Ms. Tang, and Ms. Li.
7. [Cang County, Hebei Province] Four Practitioners Harassed
Four officers from the Dusheng Town Police Station went to Mr. Li Fuhang’s home again and harassed him on the afternoon of October 20, 2020.
Officers from the Daguanting Township Police Station went to Guyue’an Village on the morning of October 20, 2020. They called Ms. Ma Fengrong’s second son and Ms. Wang Shuqin’s son to the village office and forced them to persuade their mothers to write guarantee statements. Ms. Wang’s son refused to sign anything. Ms. Ma’s son tried to talk to his mother to sign statements, but she refused.
Liu, Party secretary from the Daguanting Township Government, along with others, went to Mr. Chen Jingwu’s home on October 23, 2020. They videotaped him.
8. [Pingdingshan City, Henan Province] Mr. Si Tai’an Tried
Mr. Si Tai’an, 68, from Huying Village, Malou Township, Lushan County, was tried at the Lushan Detention Center on October 26, 2020. The court did not allow his family members to participate, and did not allow his lawyer to defend his innocence.
In the court, the prosecutor brought charges against him, citing Dafa books and Falun Gong materials confiscated from his home. The judge asked Mr. Si to sign paperwork, which he firmly refused. The trial ended hastily, and the judge said the sentence was to be pronounced in a week.
Mr. Si was arrested at home by officers from the Malou Police Station on June 26, 2020, and held in the Lushan Detention Center. No family visits were allowed. His wife Ms. Hao Zhi was harassed and frightened. She fell seriously ill and died on May 3, 2020.
9. [Meishan City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Tan Xiaoju Sentenced to Prison
Ms. Tan Xiaoju, 60, was arrested in her residential community by officers from the Dongpo District Domestic Security Division and the Chengnan Police Station on April 23, 2020. The officers ransacked her home and confiscated over 20 Falun Dafa books and printed materials. The detention center refused to admit her for health reasons. She was released on bail.
Ms. Tan was given a one-year-and-six-month prison term and fined 5,000 yuan by the Dongpo District Court on September 29, 2020. The detention center still did not accept her due to health reasons. She was to serve her term outside the prison. She has returned home.
10. [Dazhou City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Wang Haiqian and Mr. Dong Mingzhi Facing Trial
Mr. Wang Haiqian and Mr. Deng Mingzhi in Dazhu County have been held in custody for over one year and three months. They will be tried by the Dazhu Court on November 5, 2020.
11. [Duolun County, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Ms. Hao Shuling and Husband Mr. Bao Jianguo Threatened
Ms. Hao Shuling and her husband Mr. Bao Jianguo were harassed by residential community personnel, who threatened to fire the couple’s daughter, an elementary school teacher, from her job.
The family was recently called to the Political and Legal Affairs Committee office, where officials forced the daughter to “transform” her parents. They threatened that if her parents did not give up their belief, she would be fired from her job.
12. [Duolun County, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Several Practitioners Harassed
Practitioners Han Sumin, Li Binglan, Li Guihua, Xiao Yuying, Li Guiqin, Xiao Yuping, Li Xiumei, Jiang Zhanyun, Zhao Zhanqing, Zong, and Zong’s spouse were harassed by the local police, community personnel, and Dolon Nor Town Government staff members. The officials forced them to write three statements renouncing Falun Gong, otherwise their children and relatives’ jobs would be endangered.
13. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Dong Zhuying Taken to Brainwashing Center
Ms. Dong Zhuying in Huanggezhuang Town was harassed at home by Gao Junru, an official from Xuanzhuang No. 4 Street Village, and a town government official in October 2020.
Ms. Dong was arrested and taken to a brainwashing center by two police officers at around 1:00 p.m. on October 14. Five people who had enlightened on an evil path tried to brainwash her. Mr. Dong walked out of the brainwashing center with righteous thoughts and returned home that day.
14. [Dingzhou City, Hebei Province] Four Practitioners Harassed
Zheng Zhengang, Party secretary of the No. 3 Quanqiu Village, Daxinzhuang Town, actively cooperated and participated in persecuting Falun Gong practitioners (Ms. Wang Caiying, Ms. Su Yinger, Mr. Shi Rongjun, and Ms. Gan Meihua) in the village.
Zheng also intimidated and threatened practitioners and their families, forcing them to press fingerprints or give up the practice of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. He also used village radio speakers to broadcast humiliating content, which caused great harm to these families.
15. [Benxi City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Zhao Dayong Arrested
Mr. Zhao Dayong in Xihu District was arrested around October 12, 2020. It is not clear where he is being held. The police ransacked his home and confiscated several printers.
16. [Dongying City, Shandong Province] Mr. Geng Lutang and Wife Tried
Mr. Geng Lutang and his wife were tried by the Dongying City Court on November 2, 2020.
17. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Eight Practitioners Arrested
Ms. Yi Qunying and seven other practitioners were arrested on October 14, 2020. Two practitioners in their 70s were released that afternoon. The other six practitioners were detained for 15 days.
18. [Beijing] Ms. Zhao Shuli and Husband Mr. Guo Tongrui Arrested
Mr. Guo Tongrui, in his 60s, and his wife Ms. Zhao Shuli, nearly 60, were arrested at home by over ten police officers on October 31, 2020. Their home was ransacked.
19. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] Mr. Yang Shugui Arrested; Ms. Tang Juzhang Held in Custody
Mr. Yang Shugui, about 50, was arrested on October 27, 2020.
His wife Ms. Tang Juzhang is being held in custody. Her lawyer once went to the Feidong Procuratorate on October 25 to gather details. The Procuratorate said that Ms. Tang’s case had been returned to the Feidong Police Department.
20. [Pingdu City, Shandong Province] Ms. Xu Chunxiang Harassed
Ms. Xu Chunxiang was harassed twice by officers from the 610 Office. She was forced to press her fingerprints and sign paperwork.
21. [Junan County, Shandong Province] Two Practitioners Taken to Brainwashing Center—Ms. Li Hongqing Harassed
Mr. Li Xingqi in Sijiaoling Village, Dadian Town, was arrested and taken to a brainwashing center on October 21, 2020, for refusing to write the three statements.
Ms. Zhang Minghua and her non-practitioner sister, in Donghonggou Village, were arrested and taken to a brainwashing center.
Ms. Li Hongqing, nearly 80, was forced to write the three statements, otherwise her children and grandchildren would be implicated.
22. [Beijing] Ms. Xu Dafang Arrested
Ms. Xu Dafang, in her 70s, was arrested by officers from the Dahongmen Police Station while distributing Falun Gong materials in Fengtai District on the morning of October 28, 2020. Her home was ransacked.
The officers dragged her into the car. She resisted, and in the end her arms became swollen. She was found to have high blood pressure during the physical examination. She returned home the following day. Upon returning home, she found that the police had confiscated all her Falun Dafa books and printed materials.
Ms. Xu had previously been sentenced to a three-and-a-half-year prison term on March 12, 2014.
23. [Pingding County, Shanxi Province] Cases of Ms. Zhang Qiaorun and Ms. Mu Xindi Turned Over to Procuratorate
Cases for Ms. Zhang Qiaorun and Ms. Mu Xindi were turned over to the Pingding County Procuratorate.
24. [Linfen City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Wang Xia Arrested
Ms. Wang Xia was arrested by officers from the Dunhuafang Police Station, Taiyuan City, in recent days. It is not clear where she is being held.
25. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Four Practitioners Prosecuted
Ms. Zhang Yumei, Ms. Liu Jun, Ms. Chen Xiuqing, Ms. Cao Yulian, Ms. Xu Yanfei, and a non-practitioner driver in Yangtian Township, Chicheng County, were arrested. Their cases were transfered to the Xuanhua County Procuratorate by the Chicheng County Procuratorate.
The Xuanhua County Procuratorate brought their cases to the Xuanhua County Court on October 28, 2020. Ms. Cao and the driver were not charged, and the remaining four practitioners were under prosecution.
26. [Beijing] Ms. Huang Miaoying Facing Trial
Ms. Huang Miaoying in Xicheng District will be tried for the second time by the Changping District Court on November 6, 2020.
She was arrested by officers from the Shahe Police Station, Changping District, on February 24, 2019. She has since been released on bail.
27. [Anlu City, Hubei Province] Ms. Mao Cuiying and Ms. Ao Lanying Arrested
Ms. Mao Cuiying and Ms. Ao Lanying were reported to the police while talking to people about Falun Gong on the morning of October 25, 2020. They were arrested and taken to the Anlu City Detention Center by the Anlu police.
When Ms. Ao was being interrogated, her blood pressure suddenly surged. After examination, the doctors said that her condition was most dangerous and she had to be hospitalized immediately. The police were afraid of being held responsible and let her go home that day.
Ms. Mao is still being held in the Anlu City Detention Center.
28. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Lin Maocheng’s Case Turned Over to Procuratorate
Mr. Lin Maocheng is from Jinzhou District. His case was transfered to the Pulandian District Procuratorate by the Development Zone Procuratorate.
29. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Several Practitioners Arrested
Several practitioners were arrested at Mr. Li Zhigang’s home while studying Falun Gong teachings together on the evening of October 27, 2020. The practitioners arrested included Yu Hui, Liu, Chen Yang, Cao Zhimin, Zhang Lingge, Yin Fuliang, Li Zhigang, Li’s mother, Gong, and Lu Chengying.
30. [Jinyun County, Zhejiang Province] Three Practitioners Taken to Brainwashing Center
Ms. Su Yun, Ms. Mei Fang, and Ms. Zhi Fei in Huzhen Town were arrested on October 17, 2020. They are being held in the Xiaojun Brainwashing Center.
31. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Ma Yanqin and Husband Mr. Gao Arrested
Ms. Ma Yanqin from Caofeidian District was arrested by two plainclothes officers from the Baigezhuang Police Station, Luannan County, while she was talking to people about Falun Gong at the Baigezhuang farmers market on October 29, 2020.
Ms. Ma’s husband Mr. Gao Yong was looking for her at the market. He saw her surrounded by the police. He pushed his electric car, and called out to his wife to go home with him. The officers shoved the couple into a police car. Mr. Gao was detained for 15 days for carrying several keepsakes in his bag. He is being held in the Luannan County Detention Center. Ms. Ma has returned home.
32. [Tianjin] Ms. Zhang Huifang’s Case Turned Over to Procuratorate
Ms. Zhang Huifang in Nankai District was arrested near her home by 20 or so police officers, plainclothes officers, and residential committee officials on March 31, 2020. They brought Ms. Zhang to her home and ransacked the place. They confiscated Falun Dafa books and other belongings.
She was taken to the local police station, where she was forced to sign the three statements document. She was released on bail after paying 2,000 yuan.
A few months later, someone came to her home and harassed her. Her case has been turned over to the Procuratorate.
33. [Linshu County, Shandong Province] Practitioner Mao Dejun Undergoing Extended Detention
The case for practitioner Mao Dejun (66, gender unknown) was turned over to the Linshu County Procuratorate by the Junan County Domestic Security Division on October 19, 2020.
Mao has been held in custody for nearly three months. Mao was initially quarantined in the Linyi City People’s Hospital and then taken to the Linyi City Detention Center.
34. [Yueyang City, Hunan Province] Ms. Wang Lan Arrested
Ms. Wang Lan, in her 50s, in Gujing Community, was arrested at home on October 20, 2020. The police ransacked her home. At the Wulipai Police Station, she was told to sign the three statements, which she refused.
The police called her son to the police station to sign paperwork and write statements before letting them go home.
