(Minghui.org) I participated in a nine-day class this January hosted by the local Falun Dafa study group and started cultivating after that.
At first, I just wanted to learn the exercises. However, the coordinator encouraged fellow practitioners to tell people about Dafa to help them but didn’t push new practitioners to participate.
I’m new and didn’t really know what clarifying the truth was, but I felt an urge to help people. I didn’t know how to start, though. One day, a fellow practitioner said that we could send messages to mainland China. It was such good news to me!
I joined the MMS project group and quickly learned how to do it. I sent about 30 MMS messages with words and pictures every day, and it only took a few minutes.
There was a period of time when the messages were often rejected, so I sent forth righteous thoughts as I sent them. Amazingly, the rate of accepted MMS rose significantly. I’ve also learned to clarify the truth better through experience.
After a while, I received a reply message that said, “Go away!” I was scared and didn’t know what to do. As I calmed down, I thought that at least the person had read my MMS. It confirmed that my messages were being sent successfully.
I am grateful that the MMS project opened the door of truth-clarification for me. I soon began joining other projects, too. After working on other projects for a while, I realized that MMS was more troublesome, and maybe I should focus on something else.
Then I saw an article on Minghui.org titled “Many People in the Village Got MMS Messages Bearing the Truth.” It said, “I live in Xinjiang. It’s always been a high-pressure situation here. People don’t dare to learn anything contrary to what the Chinese Communist Party promotes, let alone talk about those things.
“If you get caught talking about sensitive topics, you are possibly detained and sent for education and training. It means you’ll lose your freedom.”
The article mentioned that a person in the village received a Falun Dafa MMS. He was very scared but noticed that everyone in the village got the same MMS, and everyone learned the facts about Falun Dafa.
They hope that Falun Dafa practitioners will continue to send MMS persistently. Especially given the severe pandemic situation, Chinese people don’t have access to true information, and MMS could help spread the truth.
After reading the article, I learned how important MMS was to some regions in China. It’s the only way for people there to access true information.
I shall definitely not give up the MMS project.
