(Minghui.org) I am 67 years old and began to practice Falun Dafa in 1998. Over the past 22 years I have stumbled many times on my cultivation path, which has really not been easy.
To put it simply, I could not have done it without Master Li's guidance every step of the way. I would like to share some of my cultivation experiences.
A Taxi Driver Understood the Truth
There is a detention center in my city where many practitioners are detained. Two other practitioners and I took a public bus to send righteous thoughts nearby. We got off at a bus station a few kilometers away from the detention center. To save time to send righteous thoughts, we took a taxi the rest of the way.
I sat in the passenger seat in the front. On the way I asked the driver, “Do you know that quitting the Chinese Communist Party can keep you safe?” He said that he didn't believe it, so I asked, “Do you believe that what goes around comes around?”
When he said he did, I continued, “Do you know who keeps a record of your good and bad conduct? It's the gods, right? Have you seen the gods?”
He smiled, and the atmosphere lightened up. I told him about the beauty of Dafa and why one should quit the Party and its other organizations. I picked a pseudonym for him and helped him quit.
Another time, I took a taxi and asked the driver if he’d heard about withdrawing from the Party. “Lots of people talk about it,” he said.
When I saw his attitude, I didn't continue. I begged Master Li to strengthen me and help me to untie the knot in the taxi driver's heart and help him.
Just then, the walkie talkie in his car came on with real estate news. I asked, “How can ordinary people afford these prices? Look at those corrupt officials; they take 100 million and billion-yuan bribes.
“Jiang Zemin took a few billion yuan from the national treasury and gave it to his son to do business. The rich nowadays are different from the wealthy in the past. Back then, people got rich by working hard. They were thrifty and saved. After the CCP came to power, it confiscated the properties and assets of the wealthy, then tortured and beat them to death. Over many years, the high-ranking CCP officials have taken what belongs to ordinary citizens and put it into their own pockets.
“They used that money to make their children and grandchildren rich. Ordinary citizens earn a basic living through their own work. Aren't you in the same situation? If you don't work today, you will not have an income.”
The driver kept nodding, so I went on: “Now there is the so-called China and US trade war, this war, and that war. On the one hand, they promote patriotism and anti-Americanism, while on the other hand, they send their children and assets to the US. How is that being against America?”
What I said resonated with him, and he was willing to accept the truth. By the end of the trip, he quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations.
I believe this was also because many Dafa disciples had explained the truth of Dafa to him before, which laid a good foundation for him to accept what I said.
Seize the Opportunity to Help People
I chatted with a woman at a bus stop and began to encourage her to quit the CCP.
She said, “I don't get involved in things like that.”
I said, “It is not about whether you want to get involved. It is an opportunity to make a choice that the heavens have given every person at this special period of time.
“Goodness will be rewarded and evil will be punished; a murderer must pay with his life. Since the CCP took power, its political movements have killed 80 million Chinese. What’s most horrific is its harvesting of organs from living Falun Dafa practitioners for profit. The CCP’s crimes are unprecedented. Will heaven let those evil deeds go unpunished?
“In Guizhou Province there is a stone with the words ‘Chinese Communist Party Perishes’ carved into it. Geologists at the Academy of Science have concluded that the six characters were naturally formed. This was broadcast on CCTV, except that ‘Perish’ was covered up. Isn’t that heaven's will?
“When you joined the CCP, you held up your fist and swore to fight for it with your life, meaning that you agreed to give your life to it. The CCP is made up of members like you. When heaven destroys the CCP, what will happen to you? Today I want to help you to quit the CCP to ensure your safety when that moment comes.
“You don’t need to go to the CCP organizations to quit the CCP. There’s no ceremony required as long as you express your willingness to heaven. It would be better to believe it than not. Don’t stake your life on it.”
She kept listening, and I felt the opportunity for her to quit had come. So I said, “I see that you have a good temperament. Let’s use the pseudonym 'The Beautiful' for you to quit the CCP?” At that moment her attitude completely changed, and she thanked me.
One time at a public bath, I saw a middle-aged woman having difficulty walking and asked her what was wrong. She told me she had lower back pain. I said, “I know a good way to make your back pain go away.”
She asked me to quickly tell her. I said, “Sincerely repeat, 'Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.'”
“Please repeat it,” she said. “I will save it on my phone.”
I remembered that the government monitors personal phones and the internet, so even though I wanted to help her, I had to consider her safety first. I told her not to save it on her phone and to just memorize it. She was slow and kept reciting loudly, “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.”
After a while, she got out of the bathing pool and took a shower. She came over to me and said, “The words you taught me to recite actually work! My back hurts less now.”
When I asked her if she was a CCP member, she said, “Yes. I’m an outstanding CCP member.”
I said, “You will be better off if you quit the CCP.” She immediately raised her right arm and held a fist as if she was going to make a vow and said, “Sure. I want to quit the CCP!”
She told me her real name to use to quit the CCP. I was really happy for her and thought to myself, “She must have waited a very long time for this moment!”
Helping People During the Pandemic
At the beginning of 2020, COVID-19 spread throughout China and around the globe. In traditional Chinese culture, plagues are usually viewed as acts of Heaven, often as a warning for wrongdoing and immorality.
Everyone wants to survive, and as the pandemic becomes rampant, those who did not accept the truth about Dafa in the past are willing to accept it now because they want to save themselves.
From a karmic perspective, when people are close to the CCP, they are, in effect, siding with it in all the crimes it has committed. If that’s the case, then cutting ties with the CCP might be a way to stay safe.
I put up a truth clarification poster on the community notice board that said, “There Is a Cure for the Plague.” It has been there for several months and is still radiating a benevolent light to help people.
For a while, besides studying the Fa and doing the exercises, I actively participated in helping people learn the truth about Dafa.
The brochures I made with the truth about Dafa were not only for me to clarify the truth but also for fellow practitioners. Every night after group Fa study, I put up truth-clarification posters in each building corridor and distributed truth-clarification brochures to each household in my area.
During the daytime, I clarified the truth to people passing by and gave keepsakes to people who quit the Party.
We should do our best to keep up with Master’s Fa-rectification and seize every moment to help people.
