Additional Persecution News from China – January 4, 2020 (12 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 12 cities or counties in 7 provinces, where at least 26 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Zunhua City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhang Qin and 11 Other Practitioners Face Trial

Ms. Zhang Qin, 76, was arrested at her home in Xiazhuang on July 6, 2019, and is being held at the Zhunhua Detention Center. She was tried on December 17, 18, 19, and 20. She will be tried again on January 13, 2020.

Eleven other practitioners were arrested and tried with her, including Ms. Sheng Jinling, Mr. Ma Kuang, Ms. Wang Ruiling, Ms. Lin Xiuling, Ms. Gao Jingru, Ms. Guo Shuhuan, Ms. Lu Cuihua, Mr. Wang Kun, Mr. Wang Jian, Mr. Zhang Yuming, and Ms. Tian Shuxue.

2. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Ms. Liangliang and Ms. Wang Jinyu Detained

Ms. Liangliang from Chifeng City and Ms. Wang Jinyu from Harqin were arrested by officers from Songshan District Police Department on December 31, 2019. They are being held at the Songshan District Detention Center.

3. [Wugong County, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Liu Huirong’s Case Filed in Procuratorate

The Wugong County Procuratorate filed Ms. Liu Huirong’s case with the Qindu District Procuratorate on December 20, 2019.

Ms. Liu lives in Nanren Township, Wugong County. She was arrested on August 26, 2019, and has been held at Qindu District Detention Center.

4. [Chicheng County, Hebei Province] Ms. Cao Manzhen and Ms. Li Guilan Arrested

Ms. Cao Manzhen and Ms. Li Guilan from Zhongsuo Village, Zhenningbao Township were arrested by officers from the Zhenningbao Police Station for distributing Falun Gong fliers on the evening of January 2, 2020. They were taken to the Chicheng County Domestic Security Division. Their homes were ransacked the following day and their personal belongings were confiscated. Their current whereabouts are unknown.

5. [Langfang City, Hebei Province] Mr. Chen Mulin Abused in Detention Center

Mr. Chen Mulin of Guan County is being held at the Guan County Detention Center. He developed high blood pressure and heart disease, and is now emaciated as a result of being persecuted.

6. [Linyi City, Shandong Province] Mr. Li Yongxin Facing Trial

Mr. Li Yongxin from Lanshan District was arrested by officers from the Hongbusi Police Station in August 2019, when he was talking to people and handing out information about Falun Gong. He will be tried on January 9, 2020 in the Hedong District Court located in the Hedong District Detention Center.

7. [Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Chunhui Arrested

Ms. Li Chunhui from Canzhuang Town was arrested for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong on the morning of January 3, 2020.

8. [Xinxiang City, Henan Province] Mr. Gao Anzhong Sentenced to One Year in Prison

Mr. Gao Anzhong, in his 70s, was arrested by officers from Xiangyang Police Station and taken to Xinxiang City Detention Center on April 22, 2019. His home was ransacked. He was sentenced to one year in prison by Weihui Court. He is still being held in the Xinxiang City Detention Center.

9. [Beijing] Mr. Ge Zengguo Sentenced to 18 Months in Prison

Mr. Ge Zengguo from the Changping District was arrested at Changping District Hospital on June 22, 2019, and has been held at the Changping Detention Center. Mr. Ge was sentenced to 18 months in prison on December 24, 2019.

10. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Su Xiake Detained

Ms. Su Xiake, 70, was arrested by officers from Yangyuan Police Station on December 30, 2019. The officers confiscated personal belongings, including her computers and printers. Ms. Su is being held in the Tuolu Detention Center in Dongxihu.

11. [Handan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhang Yuehong Detained

Ms. Zhang Yuehong was arrested by officers from Liulinqiao Police Station in mid-December, 2019. She is being held in the Third Detention Center.

12. [Panjin City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wei Sufen and Ms. Li Ying Detained

Ms. Wei Sufen, who lives in Yangquanzi Town, Panjin City, and Ms. Li Ying, who lives in Linghai City, Jinzhou were arrested by officers from the Shishan Town Police Station in Linghai City. They were released on January 2, 2020 after being held for 15 days in the Jinzhou Detention Center.
