(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 22 cities or counties in 11 provinces, where at least 41 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Shanghai] Mr. Shi Naiyi Arrested

Mr. Shi Naiyi was arrested at home on July 16, 2019. His home was ransacked.

2. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Mr. Tong Weiguo and Five Other Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Tong Weiguo and Mr. Wang Guisuo were arrested by officers from the Jilin Airport Police Station when they were posting Falun Gong materials on the morning of July 18, 2019. The police ransacked their homes and confiscated all of their Falun Dafa books and computers. Both practitioners were taken to a detention center.

Mr. Sun Shangyou from Baiqi Town, Shulan City, was arrested at work by plainclothes officers on July 19, 2019.

Mr. Li Changhai, Mr. Lan, and Mr. Guo, from Longtan District, were arrested on July 19, 2019. The police confiscated Falun Dafa books and materials. The three practitioners’ current whereabouts are unknown.

3. [Chengdu Ctiy, Sichuan Province] Ms. Cheng Shengqiong Placed Under Criminal Detention

Ms. Cheng Shengqiong, 74, was arrested by officers from the Chengxi Police Station, Xindu District, on the afternoon of July 20, 2019. The officers confiscated photos of the founder of Falun Gong, all of her Falun Dafa books, and printed materials. Ms. Cheng was taken to at the Chengdu Detention Center. She has been placed under under criminal detention.

4. [Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Ni Laijian and Ms. He Xiaoqin Arrested

Mr. Ni Laijian was arrested by the local Domestic Security officers on the afternoon of July 20, 2019. The officers confiscated a computer, photos of the founder of Falun Gong, and printed materials.

Ms. He Xiaoqin was arrested on July 21, 2019. Her current whereabouts are unknown.

5. [Tianjin] Ms. Ma Arrested

Ms. Ma was arrested on July 15, 2019. Her current whereabouts are unknown.

6. [Yinan County, Shandong Province] Mr. Zu Peiyong and Mr. Liu Naixun Taken to Prison

Mr. Zu Peiyong and Mr. Liu Naixun were taken to the Jinan Prison on the morning of July 11, 2019.

7. [Changyi City, Shandong Province] Ms. Yue Xiuhua Arrested

Ms. Yue Xiuhua from Hanjiagaoyang Village, Beimeng Town, was arrested when she was talking to people about Falun Gong at the the Caijiazhan farmers market in Gaomi City on July 18, 2019.

8. [Jiaozhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhou Minglan’s Case Filed to Court

Ms. Zhou Minglan’s case was filed to the Huangdao Court by the Huangdao Procuratorate on July 12, 2019.

9. [Datong City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Mi Yingtao and Two Other Practitioners Detained

Ms. Mi Yingtao and two other practitioners were arrested on July 9, 2019. They are being held in the Zhi’an Detention Center.

10. [Zhongshan City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Wang Arrested

Ms. Wang, 64, was arrested on July 12, 2019. Her family and friends have not heard anything about her.

11. [Foshan City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Li Tianshu Taken Into Custody

Ms. Li Tianshu was arrested in September 2018. It was reported that she was being held in the Nanhai Detention Center.

12. [Sihui City, Guangdong Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Zhang Yani was arrested on July 3, 2019. The police ransacked her home and confiscated Falun Dafa books and photos of the founder of Falun Gong.

Ms. Lin Liming, 61, Ms. He Liandi, 56, and Ms. Ling Yan, 38, were also arrested on the same day. They are being held in the Sihui City Detention Center.

13. [Guilin City, Guangxi Autonomous Region] Ms. Qin Xiaoping and Ms. Wu Guixian Taken Into Custody

Ms. Qin Xiaoping and Ms. Wu Guixian were arrested by officers from the Qixing Police Department when they were talking to people about Falun Gong in Yangshuo County on July 17, 2019. The officers ransacked their homes and confiscated Falun Dafa books and printers. Both practitioners were held in the Guilin City No. 2 Detention Center.

14. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Taimin and Ms. Zheng Jingwen Arrested

Ms. Li Taimin and Ms. Zheng Jingwen, from Tanghai County, were arrested in recent days. The police ransacked their homes and confiscated computers and printers.

Their non-practitioner daughters were also arrested at the time. They were released the following day.

15. [Pingdingshan City, Hebei Province] Mr. Liu Baohong and Mr. Ma Xiaohui Arrested

Mr. Liu Baohong and Mr. Ma Xiaohui were arrested on June 20, 2019.

16. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Mr. Yu Zaoyuan Arrested

Mr. Yu Zaoyuan was arrested and his home ransacked on the afternoon of July 22, 2019. His current whereabouts are unknown.

17. [Wuxue City, Hubei Province] Ms. Zhu Xiaohong and Ms. Hu Lanzhen Arrested

Ms. Zhu Xiaohong and Ms. Hu Lanzhen from Meichuan Town were arrested by officers from the Wuxue City Domestic Security Division and the Meichuan Police Station on the evening of July 19, 2019.

18. [Tianjin] Ms. Chu Yan Arrested

Ms. Chu Yan was arrested on April 19, 2019.

19. [Jinchang City, Gansu Province] Ms. Gong Yuehua Arrested

Ms. Gong Yuehua was arrested by officers from the Guangzhoulu Police Station on the afternoon of July 18, 2019. The officers confiscated Falun Dafa books.

20. [Dandong City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Wan Guirong’s Case Turned Over to Procuratorate

Mr. Wan Guirong from Shengli Street was arrested by officers from the Tongxing Police Station when he was distributing Falun Gong materials on the afternoon of June 27, 2019. The officers ransacked his home and confiscated Falun Dafa books, photos of the founder of Falun Gong, and printed materials. The police station turned over Mr. Wan’s case to the Zhen’an District Procuratorate.

21. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Liu Yuansheng Detained

Mr. Liu Yuansheng was taken away by officers from the Dandong Public Security Division on July 19, 2019 after he was detained for 15 days in the Dandong City Detention Center. He was taken to the Shenhe Detention Center for for 30 more days of illegal detention.

22. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Li Bingying Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Li Bingying was tried by the Ranghulu District Court on June 13, 2019. Her family received a notification from the Heilongjiang Province Women’s Prison on July 21. Ms. Li was sentenced to a one-year prison term. She was taken to the prison on June 17.

23. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Ouyang Ruyun in Critical Condition

Ms. Ouyang Ruyun, 73, from Jiang’an District, was arrested by officers from the Wuhan City Domestic Security Division on March 20, 2019. She is in critical condition as a result of severe abuse. Her family asked for medical parole, which was denied by the prison officials.

24. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Xi Xianrong, Ms. Xia Daixiu, and Ms. Yang Guihua were arrested on the morning of July 18, 2019. Ms. Xi and Ms. Yang have been released.

When the police were arresting Ms. Xia, she was knocked down by a passing vehicle. Her back and waist were injured. The officers forcibly dragged her into the police car. The officers then ransacked her home and confiscated a computer and her cell phone.
