(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 16 cities or counties in 11 provinces，where at least 28 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Dashiqiao City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Chen Guilian and Husband Mr. Mei Shufeng Officially Arrested

Ms. Chen Guilian and her husband Mr. Mei Shufeng were arrested in early May 2019. They were officially placed under arrest, and held respectively in the Yingkou Detention Center and the Dashiqiao Detention Center.

2. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhang Yonggui Taken to Prison

Mr. Zhang Yonggui from Zhaizi Village, Sunji Town, Shouguang City, was arrested by officers from the Shouguang City Domestic Security Division and the Sunji Town Police Station on May 24, 2019.

He was sentenced to two years and eight months in prison by the Qingzhou City Court. He was taken to the Jinan Prison on February 18, 2019.

3. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhu Weijun Given a Four-Year Prison Term

Ms. Zhu Weijun was tried on June 24, 2019, and was given a four-year prison term by the Shahekou District Court on June 28.

4. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Several Practitioners Sentenced to Prison

Five practitioners and one family member from Lianxing Township, Shuangcheng District, were tried by the Daoli District Court on May 23, 2019. Verdicts were delivered to families of those practitioners in recent days.

Ms. He Liying was given a two-year prison term. Mr. Xia Yuanpu and Ms. Cui Baolian were each given a one-year-and-four-month prison term.

Mr. Geng Chengshi was given a one-year-and-six-month prison term. Ms. Gong Yubin and Ms. Sun Guizhen’s whereabouts are unknown.

5. [Panzhihua City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhang Jihong Given a Three-Year Prison Term

Ms. Zhang Jihong was arrested on March 16, 2018. Her home was ransacked.

She was given a three-year prison term on June 10, 2019. She is being held in the Wanyaoshu Detention Center, and will be transferred to the Longquanyi Prison.

6. [Shanghai] Ms. Wang Chunyan Held in Custody

Ms. Wang Chunyan from the Pudong New Area was arrested and taken to the Huinsn Town Police Station by domestic security officers on June 29, 2019. She is being held in the Nanhui Detention Center.

7. [Guiyang City, Guizhou Province] Ms. Guo Yongfeng Detained

Ms. Guo Yongfeng was reported to the police when she was talking to people about Falun Gong in the Baiyun Park on the afternoon of June 28, 2019. She was arrested, and is being held in the Lengshuigou Detention Center, Baiyun District, for 15 days of detention.

8. [Tianjin] Mr. Cheng Junshan Suffers From Mental Disorders Due to Persecution

Mr. Cheng Junshan, in his 40s, from Jinghai District, has developed mental disorders as a result of abuses he endured while spending two years in a forced labor camp.

9. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Ms. Zhao Chunhua and Husband Mr. Wu Jinggang Arrested

Mr. Wu Jinggang from Bairin Left Banner City was arrested on March 29, 2019. His wife Ms. Zhao Chunhua was arrested by officers from the Bairin Left Banner Domestic Security Division on July 2. Her whereabouts are unknown.

10. [Linyi City, Shandong Province] Ms. Chu Yanzhi Arrested

Ms. Chu Yanzhi was arrested recently for telling people about Falun Gong.

11. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhao Shuxia Held in Custody

Ms. Zhao Shuxia from Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province, was arrested in Beijing when she was talking to people about Falun Gong on June 21, 2019. She is being held in the Chaoyang District Detention Center, Beijing.

12. [Yilong County, Sichuan Province] Mr. Gong Qinglin’s Case Turned Over to the Procuratorate

Mr. Gong Qinglin is being held in the Yilong County Detention Center. His case has been turned over to the Yilong County Procuratorate.

Mr. Nie Pengge, about 50, from Niexiaoying Village, Gugou Township, Panji District, was arrested recently.

14. [Wuhan City, Hunan Province] Ms. Song Zhaoyan Held in Custody

Ms. Song Zhaoyan is being held in the Erzhigou Detention Center.

15. [Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province] Mr. Yu Songsi Arrested

Mr. Yu Songsi was arrested and his home ransacked on July 2, 2019.

16. [Dehui City, Jilin Province] Ms. Chang Yafen Arrested

Ms. Chang Yafen was arrested by officers from the Domestic Security Division on June 21, 2019. The officers confiscated a computer, Falun Gong books, and photos of the founder of Falun Gong.

17. [Neijiang City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Liu Wangquan Arrested

Mr. Liu Wangquan from Weiyuan County was arrested by a dozen or so plainclothes officers at his door on June 19, 2019. He was taken to the Weiyuan County Detention Center.

18. [Huanggang City, Hubei Province] Ms. Chen Jianming and Ms. Zhang Yu’e Held in Custody

Ms. Chen Jianming and Ms. Zhang Yu’e from Huangzhou District were arrested when they were talking to others about Falun Gong in Taodianxiang Town, Hangzhou District, on the morning of June 28, 2019. Both practitioners are being held in the Huanggang City No. 2 Detention Center.

19. [Chuxiong City, Yunnan Province] Ms. Wang Meiling Held in Custody

Ms. Wang Meiling was arrested by officers from the Guandu District Police Department, the Niujiezhuang Police Station, and Xicheng Police Department on the morning of June 21, 2019. She is being held in the Kunming City Detention Center.

20. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Dong Shuyan, Ms. Guo Shuzhen, and Ms. Zhang Yuhua were arrested by officers from the Mudanjiang City Domestic Security Division and the Tielinghe Police Brigade on June 21, 2019.

Ms. Gao Xiuqing went with practitioners’ family members to the Domestic Security Division of the Jiangnan Police Department and demanded the practitioners’ release on June 27, and she was arrested.
