(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 19 cities or counties in 11 provinces, where at least 29 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Several Practitioners Arrested

A large scale campaign was initiated by the Longkou Domestic Security Division to arrest practitioners in the Longkou area on July 3 - 4, 2019.

Mr. Yao Xinren from the Xicheng District was arrested at work by officers from the Longgang Police Station on the morning of July 3.

Ms. Yuan Yuqin was arrested at home on July 3, and her home was ransacked. She was taken to the Yantai City Detention Center.

A practitioner with the last name Fu from the Dongcheng District was arrested. Fu’s home was ransacked on the afternoon of July 3.

Mr. Xiu Yongjie was arrested on the afternoon of July 3. It is believed that he is being held in the Zhangjiagou Detention Center.

Ms. Chen Guihua and Ms. Chen Guizhi from Dachenjia Town were arrested on the morning of July 4 for talking to people about Falun Gong.

Ms. Han Wenmei’s home in Lutou Town was ransacked on the morning of July 4.

Ms. Song Yuqiu from Xiaolijia Village, Dongjiang Town, and Ms. Xu Guiqing, 81, from Duixujia Village, were arrested by officers from the Dongjiang Police Station on the afternoon of July 4. Their homes were ransacked.

2. [Kunming City, Yunnan Province] Ms. Jiao Shuxian Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Jiao Shuxian from the Miyun District in Beijing was reported to the authorities in 2018 for talking to people about Falun Gong in Kunming City, Yunnan Province, where her daughter lives. She was arrested by the Kunming police, and sentenced a three-and-a-half-year prison term in June 2019.

3. [Shantou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Wu Peiwen Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Wu Peiwen was sentenced to a one-year prison term and fined 2,000 yuan by the Jinping District Court. She appealed to the Shantou City Intermediate Court on July 1, 2019.

4. [Xiangtan City, Hunan Province] Ms. Guo Mingqing Detained

Ms. Guo Mingqing was arrested by officers from the Xiashesi Police Station in the Yuetang District on June 12, 2019, for talking to people about Falun Gong. She was placed under administrative detention for 15 days, and held in a lockup center. Ms. Guo was transferred to the Xiangtan City Detention Center on June 27, when her detention period ended.

Ms. Guo was previously arrested on March 23, 2016, and sentenced to a two-year prison term. She was held in the Hunan Province Women's Prison, where she was mistreated.

5. [Neihuang County, Henan Province] Four Practitioners Detained

Ms. Caiyun, 53, from Xizhanglong Village, Zhanglong Township, was arrested at home by officers from Neihuang County Domestic Security Division and the 610 Office around June 25, 2019. Her home was ransacked, and Falun Dafa books and photos of the founder of Falun Gong were confiscated. Ms. Caiyun was taken to the Neihuang Detention Center.

Mr. Li Gentang, in his 60s, from Zhongliuhe Village, Zhanglong Township, was arrested at home by officers from the Zhanglong Police Station on June 25, 2019. He was taken to the Neihuang Detention Center.

Two other practitioners are also being held in the Neihuang Detention Center.

6. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhang Fenglan and Ms. Gu Yanqin Held in Custody

Ms. Zhang Fenglan and Ms. Gu Yanqin from Xizhaotong Town in the Chang’an District were arrested by officers from the Nanyang Police Station on July 2, 2019. They are being held in the Chang’an Police Department.

7. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Five Practitioners’ Homes Ransacked

Mr. Gao Zhencai, Ms. Liu Lili, Ms. Chen Lin, Ms. Tian Shulan, and Mr. Tian Zhisheng had their homes ransacked on the morning of July 3, 2019.

8. [Jiaozuo City, Henan Province] Ms. Bian Xiao’e Detained

Ms. Bian Xiao’e, 49, was arrested by officers from the Jiaozuo City Police Department on the evening of June 20, 2019. She is being held in the Jiaozuo Detention Center.

9. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Mr. Sun Qicheng Detained

Mr. Sun Qicheng, 64, from Shifo Village, Baita Town in the Boshan District, was reported to the authorities for talking to people about Falun Gong on June 30, 2019. He was arrested later that afternoon and taken to the Jiaozhuang Police Station. His home was ransacked by seven officers.

Mr. Sun was later transferred to the Baita Police Station, and then taken to the Boshan Detention Center.

10. [Tianjin] Ms. Zhang Xiuqin Arrested

Twenty officers from the Beixinqu Police Station, Lutai Town in the Ninghe District, broke into Ms. Zhang Xiuqin’s home and arrested her on the afternoon of July 3, 2019. They ransacked her residence, and confiscated Falun Dafa books and copies of Minghui Weekly.

11. [Laishui County, Hebei Province] Mr. Zhang Wenge and Mr. Guo Zhijun’s Homes Ransacked

Officers from the Songgezhuang Township Police Station broke into Mr. Zhang Wenge’s home in Wanggezhuang Village and Mr. Guo Zhijun’s home in Guogezhuang Village and ransacked their residences on July 3, 2019. Falun Dafa books were confiscated.

12. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Langen and Ms. Huo Suying Arrested

Ms. Wang Langen and Ms. Huo Suying from Beiwangli Village, Beiwangli Township in the Qingyuan District, were reported to the authorities for talking to people about Falun Gong on June 24, 2019. They were arrested and taken to the Zhangdeng Township Police Station.

Ms. Wang was released later that evening, after being forced to pay 2,000 yuan. Ms. Huo was taken to the Qingyuan Detention Center.

13. [Guangrao County, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhu Yongping Sentenced to Prison

Mr. Zhu Yongping was sentenced to an 18-month prison term and fined 5,000 by the Dongying District Court, Dongying City, on May 24, 2019.

14. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Four Practitioners Arrested When Requesting Release of Another Practitioner

Ms. Zhang Xiuzhi was arrested by officers from the Huanggu District Domestic Security Division and the police station in May 2019. She is being held in the Shenyang City No. 1 Detention Center.

Ms. Qing Xiuying, Ms. Kuang Meizi, and another elderly male practitioner accompanied Ms. Zhang’s daughter to the Liaohe Police Station in the Huanggu District on July 3, 2019, to ask for Ms. Zhang's release. They were all arrested, and their homes ransacked.

15. [Yueyang City, Hunan Province] Mr. Lu Yongliang Detained

The Yueyang City Police Department issued an arrest warrant for Mr. Lu Yongliang. He was arrested on July 2, 2019, and is being held in the Yueyang City No. 1 Detention Center. Family visits have not been allowed.

16. [Lifen City, Shanxi Province] Mr. Gao Ansheng Arrested

Four police officers from Xiangling Town, Xiangfen County, broke into Mr. Gao Ansheng’s home and ransacked it on July 2, 2019. Mr. Gao was arrested the following morning, and taken to the Xiangling Town Police Station, where he was interrogated.

Mr. Gao returned home later that evening.

17. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Yuqin and Ms. Xu Arrested

Ms. Liu Yuqin and Ms. Xu from the Ganjingzi Neighborhood were arrested by officers from the Ganjingzi Police Station, who were staked out where the two practitioners were distributing Falun Gong materials.

18. [Chaohu City, Anhui Province] Ms. Jiao Guifang Detained

Ms. Jiao Guifang was taken to the Hefei City Women's Detention Center.

19. [Hulunbuir City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Ms. Zhang Libin Officially Arrested

Ms. Zhang Libin from Hailar City was arrested in June 2019. She has been officially placed under arrest.
