1. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhou Yufang Arrested Again

Ms. Zhou Yufang was traveling by train to visit her 93-year-old mother on April 22, 2019. She was arrested by the railway police after she bought the ticket with her ID card at the Changchun Train Station. She was taken to the Weizigou Detention Center for 15 days of detention. The officers confiscated her E-book and MP3 player from her handbag. The police later ransacked her home, and confiscated photos of the founder of Falun Gong, two computers, and a printer.

Ms. Zhou was previously arrested by officers from the Luyuan Police Department in July 2015, when she was distributing Falun Gong materials. She was held in the Weizigou Detention Center for five days.

In May 2016, Ms. Zhou was arrested by the police when she was distributing the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. She was held in the Weizigou Detention Center for 15 days.

2. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Yanfang's Prison Term to End

Ms. Zhang Yanfang from the Development Zone was arrested on March 9, 2016. She was sentenced to a three-and-a-half-year prison term by the Development Zone Court, and was taken to the Liaoning Province Women's Prison on September 27, 2016.

Ms. Zhang's three-and-a-half-year prison term will end on September 8, 2019.

3. [Qingyuan County, Liaoning Province] Five Practitioners Tried

The Qingyuan County Procuratorate filed cases against five practitioners, including Mr. Ding Guozhu and Mr. Zhang Chuanwen, with the Fushun City Intermediate Court. A hearing was held in the Nangou Detention Center on June 4, 2019.

4. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Kuang Hong Detained

Ms. Kuang Hong was reported to the authorities when she was distributing copies of the Minghui Weekly on the afternoon of May 30, 2019. She was arrested by officers from the Changdian Police Station. Her home was ransacked.

Ms. Kuang is being held in the Anshan City Women's Detention Center.

5. [Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Yang Wenjie Arrested

Ms. Yang Wenjie was arrested at her rented house on May 31, 2019.

Ms. Shen Huiding's case was turned over the Xihu District Court at the end of May 2019.

Two young teachers from a training center in the Luohu District, Mr. Xie and Mr. Wu, were arrested in recent days.

8. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Na Limei's Case Submitted to the Procuratorate for Second Time

Ms. Na Limei was arrested on November 9, 2018, during a mass arrest of Falun Gong practitioners in Heilongjiang Province. The police submitted her case to the Harbin Railroad Procuratorate on March 12, 2019, which was returned by the prosecutor on April 11 for insufficient evidence.

After providing more “evidence” against Ms. Na, the police re-submitted her case to the procuratorate on May 10.
