(Minghui.org) The administrative litigation filed by Mr. Liao Ancai against the local Human Resources and Social Security Bureau (HRSSB) and Social Insurance Fund Bureau (SIFB) for withholding his pension for his faith in Falun Gong has been accepted by Xichang City Court on May 12, 2019.

Falun Gong, also known as Falun Dafa, is a mind-body discipline that has been persecuted by the Chinese communist regime since 1999.

Mr. Liao, 62, a resident of Xichang City, Sichuan Province, was arrested on January 28, 2015, and sentenced to three years for not renouncing Falun Gong. He was subjected to various tortures at Jiazhou Prison in Leshan City. For a long period of time, he was given only 15-20 seconds to finish each meal.

After being released, Mr. Liao was informed by the local SIFB that they had suspended his pension to pay for the 2,650.56 yuan dispensed to him during his imprisonment. In addition, after he paid off the fund, he had to submit a new application to reactivate his pension account.

Mr. Liao said that the law rules that all retirees are entitled to the social benefits of basic pension each month with no exception, so it's against the law for the local SIFB to withhold his pension because of his imprisonment. He filed an administrative reconsideration to the local HRSSB to appeal against the financial persecution of him and demanded that SIFB reinstate his pension.

After the HRSSB rejected his appeal, he submitted the administrative litigation to the court on April 18, 2019.
