(Minghui.org) To welcome the 20th World Falun Dafa Day, I’d like to share the amazing stories from my journey of cultivating Falun Dafa and raising awareness.
Police Officer: I Must Bow to You Three Times
When I was walking home, I saw a man coming my way. I approached him and gave him a copy of Falun Dafa informational materials. He looked at the material and said, “Oh wow, I know you! And I must bow to you three times.” I quickly stopped him as he was bowing.
He told me that he was a police officer who once ransacked my house because of my practice. “When I ransacked your house, I took one of your Falun Dafa booklets with me and gave it to my mother. She’s been sick for years and was paralyzed from the waist down. After she read the booklet, she felt very comfortable. She read it every day. Later she was able to move her legs and walk. She kept reading and within less than six months she basically recovered from the paralysis. She also doesn’t need her glasses to see things now. As she got better, she could cook and do chores around the house. This Falun Dafa booklet has miraculous power! My mother asked me that if I saw you again, I must thank you and Falun Gong properly. I can’t believe that I ran into you today. We are so grateful to Master Li Hongzhi!”
At the moment the police officer was sobbing and kept thanking Falun Dafa.
Police Officer: Give Us Two Copies!
When outside a hospital clarifying the truth about the persecution of Falun Gong and handing out desk calendars, someone yelled, "The police are here!” Seeing that an officer was coming toward me, I was about to run. That moment one of the officers said, “Don’t run. Give us two copies.” I realized that he might have known the truth about the persecution. I gave the last two copies of the calendars to them and asked if they were members of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its youth organizations. They told me that they both were and asked me to help them quit.
When the bystanders saw how friendly the police were, they also wanted Falun Dafa materials and quit the CCP. I didn’t have enough materials, but helped them quit.
A Selfless Act and a Miraculous Recovery Reveal the Greatness of Dafa
A veteran practitioner suffered illness karma and became unconscious. We rushed her to a hospital. When the doctor finally came, her pupils had already dilated. The nurse removed the medical equipment, and the doctor told us to get ready for the funeral.
The practitioner’s daughter, who was also a practitioner, asked the hospital to keep her for a few days. I stayed with her after the daughter went home to rest. I begged Master to help strengthen her righteous thoughts and spoke into her ears “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” I kept reciting it and began to feel that my body did not exist anymore. I did it night and day for a week.
The doctor and director came to check on the practitioner the first couple of days and listened to her heartbeat. After that, they stopped seeing or asking about her. One night I felt her hand twitch and called the nurse. The doctor came and was able to detect her heartbeat. “She’s alive,” he said. In the morning when the doctor and the hospital director came, her eyes were open. The director commented, “She’s really recovered. You are such a wonderful daughter.” I explained that I wasn’t her daughter and they were surprised. I explained that I practiced Falun Dafa and had met her daughter in a forced labor camp.
The director held my hand tightly and said, “Good job. I truly admire you.” No one at the scene, including other patients and their family, could believe that a person who wasn’t a relative could care for a terminally ill person so much. “She’s amazing! Her words brought a near-dead person back!”
The director gave us 50% off on the medical expenses and said, “You can talk to any of the 300 plus staff in the hospital about Falun Dafa and use any equipment you wish in the hospital.” He arranged a room with a computer, a printer and a CD burner for me so that I could print Falun Dafa materials and burn CDs in the hospital.
“If it’s fine with you, I will call a television station and have the reporter promote Falun Dafa, saying that Master Li Hongzhi taught his disciples well,” he said.
A practitioner and I helped every hospital staff quit the CCP. A person asked me how much did the practitioner’s family pay me to do what I did for her. I said that I was just helping a fellow practitioner and wasn’t paid. Other patients’ families eagerly offered me money to take care of their elderly loved ones. I said to them that I didn’t want their money, “Take the Falun Dafa literature home and let them read it. Tell them my story and have them recite ‘Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance is good.’ They will greatly benefit.”
