(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 8 cities or counties in 6 provinces, where at least 20 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Elderly Ms. Mou Guiqin Detained

Ms. Mou Guiqin, 78, was arrested on April 11, 2019. The police ransacked her home and confiscated a printer, and other personal belongings. She is being held in a detention center.

2. [Tianjin] Several Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Yao Shilan, Ms. He Daiping, Mr. Liu Shujun, Mr. Jiang Guoliang, Mr. Liu Qinghai, Mr. Liu Yongjiang, Mr. Gao Guifang, Ms. Wang Guiru, Mr. Liu Wenrong and Ms. Yang Huimin, from Dajianchang Town, were arrested by officers from the Tianjin City Police Department, Wuqing Police Department, and the Dajianchang Police Station on the morning of April 23, 2019. Their homes were ransacked.

Ms. Yao Shilan, Ms. He Daiping, Mr. Liu Shujun, Mr. Gao Guifang, and Ms. Wang Guiru were taken to the Wuqing Detention Center.

Mr. Liu Wenrong and Ms. Yang Huimin were released after failing the physical exam.

The remaining practitioners' whereabouts are unknown.

3. [Tianjin] Ms. Zhao Arrested

Ms. Zhao, in her 60s, from No. 9 Street, Yangcun Town in the Wuqing District, was arrested by officers from the Quanzhoulu Police Station on the evening of April 24, 2019. Her home was ransacked.

4. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Taimei and Ms. Chen Yunxia Detained

Ms. Wang Taimei and Ms. Chen Yunxia from Yiyuan County were arrested on the morning of April 27, 2019, when they were talking to people about Falun Gong. They are being held in the Zhangdian Detention Center.

5. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Mr. Liu Shujing Facing Trial

Mr. Liu Shujing from the Laishan District was arrested six months ago. He is being held in the Fushan Detention Center, and is due to be tried on the morning of May 10, 2019, by the Laishan Court.

6. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Xie Yu Taken to Brainwashing Center After Prison Term Ends

Ms. Xie Yu's two-year prison term ended on January 25, 2019. But instead of releasing her, officers from the Yuexiu District Police Department transferred her to the Guangzhou City Brainwashing Center from the Haizhu District Detention Center. 7. [Tang County, Hebei Province] Ms. Qu Suying Detained

Ms. Qu Suying from Wangjing Town was arrested on the afternoon of April 23, 2019, and her home was ransacked. She is being held in the Baoding Detention Center.

8. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Xia Bayun's Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Xia Bayun, 63, was transferred to another facility on April 23, 2019, after she was placed under administrative detention for ten days. Her whereabouts are unknown.

9. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. He Xiaoling Detained

Ms. He Xiaoling was arrested by officers from the Huangpi Police Station on May 4, 2019, when she was talking to people about Falun Gong. She was detained for ten days.

10. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Li Bingying Detained

Ms. Li Bingying, from the Babaishang area, Honggang District, was arrested by officers from the Babaishang Police Department on the afternoon of May 7, 2019. She was taken to the Daqing City Detention Center.
