(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 10 cities or counties in 8 provinces, where at least 15 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Bayan County, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Liu Zhipeng and Mr. Zhang Zhenjun Detained

Mr. Liu Zhipeng was arrested by officers from the Xinhua Police Station on April 25, 2019. He was held in the Bayan Detention Center for ten days.

Mr. Zhang Zhenjun was arrested by officers from the Xinglong Police Station on the same day. The police ransacked his home and confiscated Falun Gong books. He was held in the Bayan Detention Center for 15 days.

2. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Wang Yilin's Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Wang Yilin was arrested on April 20, 2019, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong at Nanhu Park. She was taken to the Weizigou Detention Center.

Ms. Wang was detained there for 15 days, before being taken away by three officers on May 5. Her whereabouts are unknown.

3. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Wu Yueping Detained

Mr. Wu Yueping was arrested on March 19, 2019, and taken to the Yihelu Police Station. His Falun Gong books, computers, cell phones, and other personal belongings were confiscated.

Mr. Wu was detained for 15 days.

4. [Tianjin] Ms. Wang Yajie's Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Wang Yajie was arrested in late April 2019. Her whereabouts are unknown.

5. [Xinji City, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners' Cases Passed to Procuratorate

Ms. Bian Xiujuan, Ms. Zheng Yanmei, and Ms. Li Yuemian were arrested by officers from the Datun Town Police Station on April 12, 2019, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. They are being held in the Hengshui City Detention Center.

The arrests were approved on May 5, and their cases were passed to the Shenzhou City Procuratorate.

6. [Huimin County, Shandong Province] Two Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Ma Yuxiu and Mr. Lin Guorong were arrested by officers from the Xindian Town Police Station on January 22, 2019, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. Their Falun Gong books were confiscated.

7. [Shanghai] Ms. Wang Qiuju Arrested

Ms. Wang Qiuju, 46, from Gucun Town, was arrested by officers from the local police station on April 28, 2019.

8. [Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province] Ms. He Pingping Detained

Ms. He Pingping from Xiangshan County was arrested on March 22, 2019. She is being held in the Xiangshan Detention Center.

9. [Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Jiang Sugen Sentenced

Ms. Jiang Sugen was tried for the third time by the Wujiang District Court on April 19, 2019. She was sentenced to a one-year prison term, to be served outside of prison, and fined 1,000 yuan.

10. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Ms. He Xianggu Persecuted

Ms. He Xianggu, a nurse at the Hunan Provincial Maternal and Child Health Hospital, asked her work unit to pay her salary that they withheld for 16 years and her retirement money. However, her request was denied by the Kaifu District Court and Changsha Intermediate Court.

Ms. He appealed to the Hunan Province High Court, which held a hearing on May 13, 2019.

11. [Jinchang City, Gansu Province] Ms. Li Huifang Arrested

Ms. Li Huifang was arrested by officers from the Jinchang City Domestic Security Division on February 25, 2019, for using paper bills with information about Falun Gong on them. The police confiscated her Falun Gong books, cash, and other personal belongings.

Ms. Li was later released when it was found that she had high blood pressure.
