Additional Persecution News from China – April 17, 2019 (10 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 8 cities or counties in 5 provinces，where at least 13 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Mr. Pan Rongqing and Other Practitioners Face Trial

The Laishan District Police Department dispatched a large number of police officers across the Fushan District. They arrested approximately 12 practitioners on September 15, 2017.

Ten practitioners' cases were turned over to the Laishan District Court by the Laishan District Procuratorate on June 29, 2018.

Among those arrested, Ms. Pan Rongqing, Ms. Pan Yanyan, and Ms. Ma Yuzhen have been held in the Fushan Detention Center. They are facing trial.

2. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Yang Diping Detained

Ms. Yang Diping, 68, from Kouqian Town, was arrested by officers from the Yongji County 610 Office when she was posting Falun Gong materials at an overpass in Kouqian Town on April 9, 2019. She was held in the Jilin City Detention Center.

3. [Tianjin] Ms. Guo Tingfen and Ms. Shi Yufang Arrested

Officers from the Gegu Police Station, Jinnan District, broke into the homes of Ms. Guo Tingfen and Ms. Shi Yufang and arrested them on the morning of April 12, 2019. The officers ransacked their homes and confiscated all their Falun Dafa books. Ms. Shi was released that evening, and Ms. Guo's whereabouts are unknown.

4. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Yao Xiuyun Detained

Ms. Yao Xiuyun from Tiexi District was arrested by officers from the Beizhan Police Station on April 10, 2019 for mailing truth clarification letters. She is being held in the Santaizi Detention Center.

5. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Mu Bin Detained

Ms. Mu Bin from Laishan District was arrested by officers from the Laishan District Domestic Security Division when she was talking to people about Falun Gong at noon on April 15, 2019. She was taken to the Yantai City Detention Center for 15 days of detention.

Mr. Wang Zizhong was arrested by officers from the Taoyuanlu Police Station in early 2019. He was detained.

7. [Tianjin] Mr. Huang Jianyong Arrested

Mr. Huang Jianyong from the Dagang Oilfield was arrested at work on April 16, 2019. His whereabouts are unknown.

8. [Suihua City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Yu Guirong Arrested

Ms. Yu Guirong from Anda City was arrested by police assistants and the Patrol Police Division, when she was talking to people about Falun Gong on the morning of April 15, 2019.

9. [Dazhou City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Huang Youqiong Detained

Ms. Huang Youqiong from Zhuyang Town, Dazhu Town, was arrested by officers from the Wenxing Town Police Station when she was talking to others about Falun Gong on the afternoon of April 12, 2019. She was taken to the Dazhu County Detention Center for 15 days of detention.

10. [Linyi City, Shandong Province] Ms. Yao Taken Into Custody

Ms. Yao, about 30, from Luozhuang District was arrested on April 11, 2019 for talking to people about Falun Gong at the Luozhuang District farmers market. Her home was ransacked. She is being held in the Linyi City Detention Center.
