Three Elderly Practitioners Arrested for Belief in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance

(Minghui.org) Three elderly practitioners, Ms. Pan Jindi, Ms. He Xing'e, and Ms. Shen Xueying, were arrested at noon on April 10, 2019 for their belief in Falun Gong. The arrest took place at Ms. Pan's home in the Nanguolongyuan Residential Community, Haiyang Road, Sanlin Town, Pudong New District, Shanghai. The three women, who were not wearing shoes, were not allowed to put on their shoes before being shoved into the police vehicle.

Both Ms. Pan and Ms. He are 87 years old, and Ms. Shen is almost 80. They practice Falun Gong and believe in the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Despite their age they can take care of themselves and are not a burden on their children.

They were reading the book Zhuan Falun together at Ms. Pan's home on the morning of April 10. At around noon, approximately twelve people forced their way in, including officers from the Yangsi Police Station, the Pudong New District Domestic Security Division, the Sanlin Town Comprehensive Management Office, and personnel from the Nanguolongyua Residential Committee.

The officers took Ms. Pan's Falun Dafa books. Ms. Pan said, “Without Zhuan Falun, how can I study?” The officers returned one copy of Zhuan Falun to her. When Ms. He reminded them of freedom of belief, they returned a Falun Dafa book to her.

The officers ransacked their homes and confiscated Falun Dafa books, photos of the founder of Falun Gong, and copies of Minghui Weekly.

The police arrested the three practitioners and ransacked their homes on the grounds that they received reports that Falun Gong materials were found in the mailboxes of Ms. Pan's residential community, and she was accused of placing them there.

The three elderly ladies were released that afternoon.
