Additional Persecution News from China – March 9, 2018 (7 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 7 cities or counties in 4 provinces, where at least 8 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Beijing] Mr. Sun Fuyi and His Wife Ms. Xu Junming Arrested
2. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Mr. Zhang Fengjun Detained
3. [Shenzhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Song Yanru and Ms. Wang Ruihua Harassed
4. [Chicheng County, Hebei Province] Ms. Guo Jinhua Arrested
5. [Juye County, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Jing Prosecuted
6. [Linqing City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Xiumei Detained
7. [Baiyin City, Gansu Province] Ms. Li Fenglan Detained

1. [Beijing] Mr. Sun Fuyi and His Wife Ms. Xu Junming Arrested

Mr. Sun Fuyi and his wife Ms. Xu Junming from the Huairou District were arrested on the morning of March 7, 2019. Twelve officers ransacked their home.

Mr. Sun had just been released from prison in January, after finishing a three-year sentence.

2. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Mr. Zhang Fengjun Detained

Mr. Zhang Fengjun from Wukeshu Town was arrested at home on March 7, 2019, and was to be held in a detention center for five days.

3. [Shenzhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Song Yanru and Ms. Wang Ruihua Harassed

Seven officers from the Wangjing Town Police Station ransacked Ms. Song Yanru's home in Wangjiazhuang Village on the afternoon of March 7, 2019, and confiscated her Falun Gong books.

The officers then went Ms. Wang Ruihua's home in the same village and demanded that she report to the police station the following day.

4. [Chicheng County, Hebei Province] Ms. Guo Jinhua Arrested

Ms. Guo Jinhua from Yangtian Township was reported to the authorities for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong on February 3, 2019. Wang Jiang, director of the Yangtian Police Station, and another officer handcuffed her and took her to the police station for interrogation. She was released around midday.

The two officers went to Ms. Guo's home later that afternoon, put her fingerprints on several of their documents against her will, and confiscated her Falun Gong books and cell phone.

5. [Juye County, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Jing Prosecuted

Ms. Zhang Jing was arrested by officers from the Juye County Police Department on November 27, 2018. The Cao County Procuratorate pressed charges against Ms. Zhang in the Cao Court on February 21, 2019.

6. [Linqing City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Xiumei Detained

Ms. Wang Xiumei from Xuzhuang Village was arrested by officers from the Linqing Railroad Station Police Station on March 7, 2019, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. Along with officers from the Xinhua Police Station, they ransacked her home.

Ms. Wang is being held in the Linqing Detention Center.

7. [Baiyin City, Gansu Province] Ms. Li Fenglan Detained

Wan Ming from the Pingchuan District Court called Ms. Li Fenglan's husband on February 22, 2019. Wan told him over the phone that Ms. Li's case had been settled.

When Ms. Li and her husband went to the court, six agents surrounded them and took Ms. Li to the Baiyin Detention Center.
