(Minghui.org) As the Chinese New Year approaches, Minghui receives large numbers of greetings from mainland China. Some are from practitioners and some are from people who have yet to start the practice. Many heard about the practice through their family and friends and witnessed practitioners' perseverance in their righteous belief. They are therefore thankful for what Falun Dafa has brought to this society, and sincerely wish its founder, Mr. Li Hongzhi, a Happy New Year.
One non-practitioner resident in Beijing wrote, “My family has benefited a lot from the practice, from better health to a happy life. Most importantly, seeing practitioners able to safeguard their principles during the severe persecution, I could tell that this practice offers hope for our society.”
A farmer in Shandong Province said reading Falun Dafa teachings meant a lot to him. “I cherish the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, and always try to be a better person,” he wrote. He said he also kept the phrase “Falun Dafa is good” in his mind.
Another resident in Beijing said he did not know what Falun Dafa was until he circumvented the Internet firewall and watched overseas videos. By seeing documentaries such as False Fire, he learned how the Chinese Communist Party had made up stories to slander Falun Dafa. He then decided to renounce his membership in the Party organizations to avoid sinking with the regime.
Sixteen residents in Beijing said they were saddened by the mistreatment practitioners had suffered for their belief. After practitioners clarified any misunderstandings due to the slanderous Communist Party propaganda, these residents were supportive of Falun Dafa and grateful to the practitioners. “Thank you, Master and Happy New Year!”
