(Minghui.org) A coworker introduced me to Falun Dafa in March 2003. When I first read Zhuan Falun I was convinced that the divine had come to the human world to save people. I became completely immersed in Dafa and felt that nothing would shake my resolve.

I was so excited that I set Falun Dafa as my main priority and told everyone that this cultivation practice was good. I have met with many tribulations and interference over the years, but I have overcome them all under Master Li Hongzhi’s protection.

Telling Co-workers about Falun Dafa

I received a text message from my department one day in November 2014, informing me that they were recruiting two people to work in the dispatch room. I had a feeling that this was a call from Master for me to work in a new setting, so I applied.

I soon received a notice informing me that I should start work in the dispatch room the following Monday. But on Sunday afternoon I got a phone call from my supervisor instructing me not to go to my new job, citing that I did not know how to use their computer system. I told him that I could learn and tried to convince him for about half an hour over the phone, but he still said no.

I later found out that someone had complained that I had handed out fliers about Falun Dafa to the company truck drivers while at work. So I assumed that this was the reason they didn't want me there.

I was disappointed and upset. I called my husband and cried.

After studying the Fa with a calm mind I found many attachments, such as resentment for my coworkers, avoiding hardship, vanity, jealousy, lust, and desire for personal gain.

I let go of my desire to get the job and resentment for my coworkers. With the time available to me, I just studied the Fa and cultivated myself by doing all that I should do for Dafa. I believed that no one could change the path that Master had arranged for me. Even though I was told that they had hired someone else for the position, I was not moved.

Once I let go of my attachments, things changed. When the boss found out that they had hired someone from another department, he was not pleased and demanded that someone from our department be placed in that position. So they called me again to ask me to go there and said that the department head wanted to talk to me.

When I went to the department head's office, he asked me to write a guarantee that I would not engage in any activities unrelated to work. I simply smiled at him. He reassured me that this was a company policy and had nothing to do with Falun Dafa. He asked me again to sign the paper.

I was about to sign it because it didn't mention Falun Dafa, but then I realized that I was the only one asked to sign such a document. Why was that? I would meet many people by working in the dispatch room, and it is definitely a good place to talk to people about Dafa.

If I signed the paper, the old forces would have an excuse to interfere with me. I put the pen down and refused to sign it. The boss then told me that I would not be able to work in the dispatch room.

I went back to my previous position with the conviction that no one could change anything that Master had arranged.

When my coworkers asked me why I was back, I told them that it was my choice. My husband called to ask me about my new position, and I told him that the department head would soon beg me to go back.

At about 4:00 p.m., an associate head called me about my new job. I told him that I didn't sign the paper and was still in my old position. He said, “You don’t need to sign it. We all know that you are a good person. Please go to work in the dispatch room tomorrow.” I thanked him.

I knew that it was because I let go of my attachments that Master made the arrangement for me to go to the dispatch room.

I followed Dafa's teachings of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance and treated every truck driver who came to me with kindness. Some of the drivers sometimes asked that I stay late or arrive early so they could talk to me. I did my best to meet their needs. When they brought me beverages or fruit, I told them that we did not accept gifts.

People tried to bribe me sometimes, wanting me to falsify paperwork so that we could profit by it. I was told by the drivers that my predecessors accepted bribes to provide false documents for the drivers, but I told them that I practiced Falun Dafa and would not cheat for personal gain.

With me insisting on being honest, everyone else soon did, too. I told them about Falun Dafa and tried to help them to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its youth organizations.

My supervisor didn’t know much about Falun Dafa before, but after I arrived, his impression of the practice changed for the better. He now tells everyone that those who practice Falun Dafa are good people.

I was transferred to a larger dispatch area six months later. It was a different setting, with three staff members and many more customers, dealing with mostly high priced goods. The senior management was afraid that the staff there would cheat the company, so I was appointed to go there. My boss said that he trusted me and he would sleep better with me in that position.

I soon settled into my new job. I worked well with my coworkers and tried to accommodate their needs. The drivers were very polite to us as they needed our service. I also treated them kindly and offered my help whenever I could.

This helped me when I spoke to them about Falun Dafa. Although I only had a couple of minutes to talk to them, Dafa helped me to say the right things. I helped them quit the CCP and gave them informational materials about Falun Dafa. On a good day, I could help about 20 people quit the CCP and handed out dozens of materials.

I felt that the drivers could feel my kindness. When they saw me the next time, they were always happy and wanted to chat with me more.

I know that as a Dafa practitioner I must cultivate myself well in order to save more people. Even though some drivers would not accept my fliers or listen to what I had to say, I still treated them with kindness and suggested that they cherish their lives and learn the truth about Dafa when they could.

I did worry sometimes that they might report me to the authorities, but I immediately eliminated these thoughts—I was doing this for their own good, so they would not report me.

My new supervisor once saw me talking to people about Falun Dafa. He was very worried and reminded me repeatedly not to do that at work. I smiled and didn't reply. He never mentioned it again.

I learned that the company had installed surveillance cameras everywhere. I was not afraid and continued to talk to people about Dafa.

Last year, when we got together for New Year’s dinner, all of my coworkers sat at the same table. My supervisor complimented me about my daughter who was studying abroad, while a department head said that my husband had indeed found a great job. My supervisor commented that I was a good person. Everyone said that my family seemed to be very fortunate. A new department head asked if I still practiced Falun Dafa. I replied, “Sure!” Everyone laughed in agreement.

Previously, one of the department heads had said that Falun Dafa practitioners should not be allowed to work in the dispatch room. I said to myself that this was where a practitioner belonged, to rectify what was not righteous. And this sure turned out to be the case!

I still have many attachments, such as seeking comfort and personal gain, lust, and jealousy. During the past year, I sometimes felt that I had become lax in my cultivation. I think that writing about this cultivation experience will motivate me to advance more diligently, cherish my path arranged by Master Li, and save more people.
