(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners in Melbourne, Australia gathered in Queen Victoria Park in the city center to express their gratitude and wish a happy New Year to Master Mr. Li Hongzhi, the founder of Falun Dafa.

Lazenby has been practicing Falun Dafa for almost a year. He is a fitness coach. He said, “I felt a lot of benefit after practicing for a short time. I have benefited so much in the past year.” He continued, “My thinking pattern and my character changed a lot. This is important because in the past I didn't know how harmful negative emotions are. My attitude to life has became more and more positive and optimistic after I started practicing. I'm deeply grateful for Master's boundless compassion. I can feel that Master is with me all the time.”
Lazenby introduced Falun Dafa to his family and friends. He helped his father, a yoga coach for a decade, begin practicing Dafa. He also led his girlfriend to Dafa practice. His colleague and good friend Reza, also a fitness coach, started practicing Dafa after Lazenby introduced it to him. Reza said, “I'm attracted by Falun Dafa, especially its principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. I resonated with it right when I first heard these three words, and I immediately felt that Falun Dafa was right for me.” He added, “When I started doing the exercises, I experienced the energy going from within toward the outside. I also felt that this energy is everywhere. I'm very grateful that Dafa is spreading across the world and I try my best to give everybody an opportunity to know about Dafa. I cherish this chance. When my wife comes here, I will for sure help her start the practice.”

“Complete Change from the Inside Out”
Ms. Lu spends a few days every week at Fitzroy Gardens to introduce Falun Dafa to tourists from various countries and raise awareness of the persecution in China. She said, “What Master has given us is so much, no words can describe it. Living in the big dye vat of this human world, we are trapped in the chasing of fame, profit and sentimentality. However, money cannot buy happiness and health. Such satisfaction is like a floating cloud and can disappear in just a moment. After I began practicing Dafa, I let go of various bad attachments, such as always being afraid of this or that. I also no longer give thought to personal gain or loss because I understand what is genuine “gain and loss.” Following Master's teaching, I changed from being a selfish person to a person who want to become an unselfish being. My body and mind were thus purified and I ascended. This is a complete change, from inside out. I want to tell all people to try it out.”
“Appreciate Master's Protection through the Rain and Storm”
Mr. Huang, a former senior manager in an investment company in China, began practicing Falun Dafa in 1994. He said, “I understood how to become a genuinely good person after I started practicing. I try to follow Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance in my workplace, family environment, and neighborhood.”
He was sentenced to two and a half years in prison for talking to people about Falun Dafa in China. Despite being tortured in prison, Mr. Huang never wavered in his will to practice Dafa, “Because this is the meaning of my life. Dafa pointed out the meaning of life, which is the answer to what I had been searching for for years before I found Dafa.
“I'm grateful that Master treats all beings with compassion,” Mr. Huang said, with tears in his eyes. “I especially thank Master for protecting me during these many years of rain and storm. I will walk well my cultivation journey of assisting Master in the Fa-rectification in this new year.”
“Cherish this Opportunity that Only Comes About Once in an Eon”
Mr. Liu and his wife Ms. Wu come to Fitzroy Gardens throughout the year to raise awareness of the persecution of Falun Dafa in China. Mr. Liu said, “With the new year approaching, our entire family wants to thank Master for his compassionate salvation and boundless grace. Without Master, I would have passed away, leaving my wife and my children alone. Without Master's compassionate protection, my family and I could not have made it through the dangers and safely arrive in Australia, a free and beautiful land where we can continue practicing Dafa. Even less would we have had the good fortune to merge into the tide of Fa-rectification.
“Cultivation helps my entire family become healthy, harmonious and happy. We are even more honored to become Dafa practitioners, and truly cherish this opportunity that comes about only once in an eon. We will cultivate more diligently, do what a practitioner should do to the extent of our powers, and strive to be worthy of Master's grace.”
