Additional Persecution News from China – December 10, 2019 (9 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 9 cities or counties in 6 provinces, where at least 17 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Anning City, Yunnan Province] Ms. Wu Shichun Detained
2. [Shulan City, Jilin Province] Several Practitioners Harassed
3. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Han Xueyan Taken to Prison
4. [Yishui County, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Shengyan’s Whereabouts Unknown
5. [Liaocheng City, Shandong Province] Mr. Gong Lihai and His Wife Ms. Liu Yufang Arrested
6. [Kunming City, Yunnan Province] Ms. Deng Lin Detained; Ms. Yang Deying Missing
7. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners Sentenced to Prison
8. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhao Jie and Ms. Liu Guizhi Arrested
9. [Bayan County, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Gao Fuzhi Incarcerated in Prison

1. [Anning City, Yunnan Province] Ms. Wu Shichun Detained

Ms. Wu Shichun, in her 70’s, from Kunming Steel Holdings Co., Ltd., was arrested in August 2019. Her home was ransacked. She is being held in Kunming City Detention Center.

2. [Shulan City, Jilin Province] Several Practitioners Harassed

Officers from Qili Township Police Station went to the homes of Mr. Wang Zhongyuan, Ms. Chen Yaqiu, Ms. Sun Zhongxia, and several other practitioners on December 3, 2019, and harassed them. They also went to Ms. Lian Shufang’s home that afternoon, and confiscated photos of the founder of Falun Gong and Falun Dafa books.

3. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Han Xueyan Taken to Prison

Ms. Han Xueyan, in her late 60s, was arrested in September 2018. She was sentenced to a three-and-a-half-year prison term, and taken to Changchun Women's Prison in late November 2019.

4. [Yishui County, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Shengyan’s Whereabouts Unknown

Officers from Yaodianzi Police Station in Yuandongtou Town and Comprehensive Management Office personnel broke into Ms. Zhang Shengyan’s home in Kangjiazhuangzi Village on December 6, 2019. They ransacked the place, and confiscated Dafa books and printed materials.

Ms. Zhang was arrested. Her whereabouts are unknown.

5. [Liaocheng City, Shandong Province] Mr. Gong Lihai and His Wife Ms. Liu Yufang Arrested

Mr. Gong Lihai and his wife Ms. Liu Yufang from Guan County were reported to the authorities on the morning of November 18, 2019, and arrested for talking to people about Falun Gong in the northern villages around Liangtang Town.

Mr. Gong is being held in Guan Police Department’s Detention Center. Ms. Liu was released for health reasons.

6. [Kunming City, Yunnan Province] Ms. Deng Lin Detained; Ms. Yang Deying Missing

Ms. Deng Lin was arrested on September 25, 2019. Her home was ransacked. She is being held in Kunming Detention Center.

Ms. Yang Deying from Kungang Baiyukou Clay Mine, Haikou Town, Xishan District, has been missing for over two months.

7. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Qu Suying from Tang County, Ms. Zhu Surong from Li County, and Ms. Liu Shumin from Wangdu County were secretly tried by Shunping County Court on the morning of November 29, 2019.

The three practitioners were sentenced in early December.Ms. Liu was sentenced to an eight-year prison term.Ms. Qu was sentenced to a four-year prison term.Ms. Zhu was sentenced to a three-year prison term.

They have all appealed.

8. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhao Jie and Ms. Liu Guizhi Arrested

Ms. Zhao Jie and Ms. Liu Guizhi from Xinbin County were arrested on the road on December 5, 2019.

Mr. Gao Fuzhi, 62, was arrested at home on November 9, 2017. He was sentenced to a three-year prison term on July 19, 2018, and is incarcerated in prison.
